Sometimes making is faster than glazing for me. Once I get set up for dipping/pouring it will be easier. Thank you for sharing your process and techniques. So important for the information to move on to the next generation of creators.

Hello ! My husband and i enjoy watching you and value the information you share. Thanks so much. We live in Greenwood, South Carolina USA. Our power was out for 9 days. The lineman who restored out power drove a boom truck with Nova Scotia plates that said " Atlantic Power on the side. H e was from Nova Scotia as well. Thanks neighbor. ! Thinking of you. Hope all is well. Hugs from far away, Bill and Chris Sanders

Never even considered frames from clay lol but would have to be small to fit in my kiln lol maybe squeeze one in for my next firing. Maybe circular frames since I have round kiln shelves ! Thanks for the video love the baby bird lol

Oh I remember baby seagull season, from when I lived in Vancover BC. And now I have baby crows that do the same each summer near my house in Northern BC. Its both cute and annoying, like much of life, I suppose. 😊 Thanks for a lovely video!

So many things you can find for free or just discarded to use like in the dumpsters at different retail stores, even at thrift stores, I don't buy fancy items if I don't have to either😊 I really like your wavy texture roller...anything to resemble the coast❤, I've made one that has alot of tropical images on one for my frames I make. The pebble roller effect is really sharp looking...I can see adding some sand into the glaze❤ or using another method. Then using your fish stamp as the center picture❤ Beautiful frames & tiles as usual Vaugh❤ I always forget to let my clay set out for a bit my newspaper always sticks to my clay, I get too excited & want to start creating right away...I've always hated that saying ..."patience is a virtue"😢 Hope those visitors from Kent & UK, purchased from you.😊 Awe soooo cute that baby seagull❤

Very nice. How do you mount a tile or picture into the frame? I was thinking a mirror would be nice too.

Can you explain more of the slow fire process? Is that to prevent cracks and warping?

I was wondering how the new carved fish mould inventions worked 😍 I have made two but still waiting for them to dry as summer has passed 😢 I went to Bracklesham Bay and saw the baby Seagulls 😍 Very large baby’s 😆 And collected some shells 🐚 and made some sprigs for soap dishes, thank you Vaughan for all your inspirations 👏

A suggestion for a ruler of that size is to go to a quilt shop. Quilters have rulers of all shapes and sizes, and they are well marked.

Thanks I will visit one.

You can buy templates in many sizes in a quilt shop. Either Creative Grid or OmniGrid

Great idea! How do you attach your tiles to the frame? If you fire the frame first, doen't it shrink and then cause some fit issues for the tile? I love the results but just wondering how you do all the rest of it! Thank you!
@Vsmithpots3 ай бұрын
I have a video on the rest made a year or two ago, just look through my history. I make the tile from different clay after the firing of the frame.

I love how the tiles were glazed! How did you do the ones that are black and white in the center and colorful on the edges?
@Vsmithpots3 ай бұрын
Earthenware carved tile in the centre and tile frame around. There is a video on that in my history.

How do you store the slabs you rolled out?
@Vsmithpots3 ай бұрын
I use them about an hour after rolling and if you wait 2-3 hours they hold their rim form better. The slabs just sit on a board covered in paper until I use them.
