Old boomers with a sense of humor who are really into some specific hobby are the best. I had an old woodshop teacher who had the same vibe as this guy. He was passionate about woodworking and carpentry, making him very informative about the topic but had enough dry humor and wit to keep us engaged and had no problem with being the but of a joke to ease some tension.
