ARMS sold more than Xenoblade because it targets a different demographic, ARMS is a multiplayer game and super casual friendly while Xenoblade is barely newcomer friendly (which is a problem and I say that as a Xenoblade fan) and is a single player 100+ hours game

Okay there’s one great thing about the ambassador titles though, the list included Wario Land 4 which is one of the best 2D platformers ever made. Unfortunately they didn’t ever put GBA games for sale on the eshop even though they could run them through the method they ran the ambassador titles and they’d be fine, so that was the only (official) way to play that game on 3DS
