Hey Joel, I see you using some sachtler legs… how would you rate them? I’m looking at getting at flowtechs. Quite expensive but might be worth it. Would love to hear your insight.

Flowtechs are absolutely clutch. Especially with an Aktiv8 head, which you'll need if your rig weighs more than 17.5 lbs. I get by with the Aktiv6 on Flowtech 75 legs and an FX6 when using a 70-200 f2.8 and a v-mount battery, but anything larger for when I'm filming wildfile such as a 200-600, I'm using the Aktiv8 head, which can handle 26.5 lbs.

Hey David! I would definitely recommend anything Sachtler. They will hold resale value for years to come. Definitely worth the investment long term. Iv'e had a variety of tripods over the years. Always an afterthought for me. After upgrading to the Video 20 I just can't go back. The touch and go plates just make so much sense. The carbon fiber legs are lightweight but very sturdy. I can't speak much into the flowtechs but there is a reason why they are always sold-out. I definitely think they are worth the high price tag.

M.O.S. man on street, confusing for this European. M.O.S means 'mis en sound' or no audio to me, man on the street would be a box pop, or latin for box populism, voice of the people. First time I have heard this use of MOS. Thanks for the videos, good to see how other operators cover events.

Im really back with measuring distance. I would maybe say 100-200 ft. I was using the sigma 60-600mm lens to get the close up shot.
