You missed the part where Pain said: After several decades that pain (the first use of the tailed beast weapon) too will eventually fade with time. It will no longer act as a deterrent. This time they themselves will use the tailed beast weapon against one another and reconfirm what true pain is. This mirrors the situation our world is currently in. A world in which mutually assured destruction has kept relative peace, for a time at least. I didn’t read the comments on that last video, but it is fine to miss things on a first watch. I’m sure some people were being assholes, but I’m also sure many were just trying to make things clearer for you. It doesn’t make you an idiot to miss certain details when you’re not just watching but trying to entertain an audience.

His plan is to distribute the weapons to every nation in the hopes that they use against each and destroy one another. After experiencing the loss and pain, the nations will have no choice but to opt for peace because the weapon acts a deterrent and a mutual assured destruction.

Well what I think the main confusion here is I think you missed the part where pain was gonna distribute one of said weapons to each village. So they will eventually use it on one another after he used it. They would forget about Pain himself but rather the idea of pain will be something everyone is afraid of. Pain essentially is creating the M.A.D scenario that we live in today. A general peace.

Pain didn't say he was going to keep the weapon for himself and lord over everyone like a totalitarian dictator. He said he was going to distribute weapons to all the nations so they'd be tempted to use it on each other. This would cause mass destruction, mass loss of life and yes, as you mentioned the theory of mutually assured destruction would come to pass. The reason people keep commenting at you for not understanding is because you have the facts wrong. Listen to what he says in the last episode and his speech to Jiraiya before their fight. I think you forgot about what he explained to Jiraiya, he doesn't want to be the only one with a gun, he wants to give every nation the power to destroy each other, i.e., nuclear weapons. In your reaction to it, you literally called his plan mutually assured destruction. Maybe it was more confusing to you when he explained it to Naruto than when he did to Jiraiya? EDIT: Nagato's plan is to create jutsus of mass destruction and hand them out to every nation, which would likely cause a few nations to be destroyed in the anime, or at least that's what Nagato believes would happen. You seem to be unfamiliar with the nations in Naruto; you believe that they wouldn't destroy each other because of mutually assured destruction, but some of these nations likely will, and that is what Nagato is referring to. Also, I think you may believe that Nagato wants to use the jutsus to destroy nations in order to make them feel pain, and that's not what he wants, he only wants to distribute the jutsus, which would likely end up with some nations using them against each other. P.S. I hope I didn't come off as rude, but what you're saying about his plan simply isn't true.

Pain is one of those villains , that isnt "exactly" wrong or right. His idea would lead to "peace" his ideology isnt "wrong" its misguided. That's one of the things I love about Pain. Can't spoil anymore but. Pain is essentially like a pessimist. Hes seen the worst in humanity so he doesn't ever believe that humanity can change. He posed a solution based of of that fact( what he thinks is fact) and his situation would technically work. To a degree. As seen nowadays, a M.A.D situation is no true peace at all. But it keeps conflict from hitting an all time high. Everytime it does humanity reels back. Especially with the reality that nowadays nuclear weaponry has hit a whole new level of advanced. I think you should watch the speech episode again, not to be rude, but the speech pain gave, is something along the lines that he will use the tailed beasts to create a weapon, which shall be used to bring end to all the fighting and war once by him, creating a temporary peace for a brief period of years due to the resulting pain and suffering. Once this time passes away the fighting shall resume and the same weapon will be used again by the nations themselves (and this line is specifically written in the manga English translation of course and yes spoken in the anime), causing the same result of peace due to the pain and suffering and the cycle will continue. This is what most people are trying to explain here some might have been rude but yes this is what people are trying to convey. It's quite easy to not follow the speech in one go so it's alright.

What are you talking about Sakura was literally fighting Sasori and yes I'm aware Chiyo was helping her as well but Sakura's the one who destroyed Hiroko's puppet, found the antidote for Sasori's poison, tricked Sasori to getting closer then destroyed his third kazekage puppet touted as one of his greatest weapons then when she could get close enough she destroyed Sasori's main body but most importantly she took a fatal blow and saved Chiyo's life by taking a sword to the gut so don't say Sakura doesn't have resilience because she did way more and was more useful than Hinata's ever been her whole life. All Hinata did here was maybe buy Naruto a few minutes but lets face it if it wasn't Naruto Hinata would never have taken that big of a risk.

Pain had an upbringing that us people in peaceful nations can't really understand, but there are relatable situations in Central America and the Middle East where there is just constant war. I couldn't imagine that existence and in turn the mind set that would come out of it.
