it's true the real lyricist in the houston rap game are the veterans, South Park Mexican, Scarface and UGK. Chamillionaire had "Think I'm Crazy" Slim had one with "Dedicate" off Already Platinum. Paul had "Drive Slow." I respect Paul Wall for that. Some rappers fake like they're in it for the culture, but are just really out to get a check. They put out wack shit and claim they're the nicest in the game. This dude at least says, I'm in it for the money, and i'm gonna do it strictly for money. You can't even say he wrong for that because you know where he coming from. Since you know he can't rap, which we all know, then don't check for Paul Wall if you lookin for lyrics.

He's right. What he does is not hard. However, he is not an artist. He is an entertainer. An artist can entertain, but an entertainer doesn't necessarily have to be an artist. What NaS does is art. KRS-one, Tupac, Eminem, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, what they do is art. Complex poetic rhyme schemes. No matter the subject, they write poetry, and good poetry. Paul Wall does not, nor does he have the capability to as far as I have seen.

Rap was made to talk about peoples personal problems, which at the time it was made, had to do with a lot of crime. Rap should be expressive like poetry. Paul made 1 good song, but he has NO respect from me and should be taken straight down. The south mostly doesn't recognize what's real.
