Hey everyone, it's Marina from Confessions of a Dollar Tree Addict. Today, I'm sharing a personal update on my breast cancer journey-I'm now on chemo #11 out of 12! It's been an emotional rollercoaster, especially after becoming a widow just 5 months ago.
In this video, I open up about how life has changed, the strength I've found along the way, and the importance of connection during these tough times. I’m also excited to announce that I’ve been approached by My Social Calendar for a sponsorship! Make sure you document ringing your bell! It's empowering! I wish I had pics of all thru my cancer it's amazing how skin heals! I hate having my Pic taken any time(except for like "Glamour Shots" where they "fix" your makeup, hair and even have different outfits to take pics in, but I wish I would've documented the process more, you can't believe how strong you are or were until you've gone thru it all and begin healing! I'm so happy for you that the cancer is gone from your breast! And I have always loved your positive attitude especially going thru this! You look beautiful! This new wig is definitely you!! Save it for afterwards too! So when you have a "bad" hair day you'll have it and not have to worry about it! Prayers for you always! Stay strong! Youve got this! Ring yourbell loud and proud girlfriend! I think it will be good to meet people closer to home and your age, even if it's "just friends", will be something to look forward to, and be able to do things together, whatever it may be, movie dinner, lunch ,coffee, drinks, Dollartree walkthrus! Hey sweet lady! Can I just say you totally inspire me! Your attitude is something to be admired. I love hearing what’s going on in your life; the good and the bad. You’ve never given up, although I’m sure there had to be those days. Your new hair looks just like you! It’s perfect. For a woman, that would have to be devastating to lose their hair. But you always seem to make a way where there looks like there isn’t a way. I have Alopecia and I’m slowly losing mine and I dread it. I just started taking minoxidil (Rogain). Praying that will help a little. So proud that you are finishing your first full round. Praying that the second won’t be as bad as they say. Love you, friend🥰

Wow #11 and #12 around the corner!! So proud of you for telling your doctor about your symptoms and she will make adjustments to your other chemotherapies. Ask for nausea medication and medication to protect your stomach and esophagus from acidity from your stomach. Wow that is good for stage three I had stage 2b which I was a centermeter from stage 3 and I had to take chemo for 2 years both breast remove and had treatment 3 times a week was in bed for aleast five days after then after chemo I had to take shots so glad it didn’t last that long for you

You know I know dating is fun and everything, but maybe God is giving you a chance to "find" yourself and do things that you never had the courage and/or time to do when you were with a partner and a full-time wife. Think skydiving or something more tame lol. Guys will always be there because you are beautiful. I did this after my divorce and it was some of the greatest time I have ever enjoyed. I did stuff I have never even thought of doing. Then something magical happened, I met the best guy ever when I was not looking. That's usually how it happens, right? But, enjoy this second chance at life. It's a blessing. There is soooo much to experience!
