It's absolutely a great experience with you. But I believe the various static routing and its relation with ARP is a great a great deep dive.

I’m enjoying this new series for CCNA 200-301. As well a CBTNuggets member going through the current new course for CCNA 200-301. For this new series here on your channel please make sure to put all the videos in its own new playlist for CCNA 200-301. So that some of us can click the playlist and just let all the videos in this one playlist run while we are doing whatever we are doing and not have to queue up the next video.

I only learned static routing because I wanted to share an Internet connection with two subnets, by doing cascading routers.

To clarify. In the example you provided we don’t need a static route, because the routers are directly connected? Also, I tried doing this with regular routers and the directly connected trick doesn’t work. I still had to put in a static route

Thank you Garegin Asatryan. Feel free to join my Discord sever. Lots of people there helping each other out. Each Saturday at 10am Pacific I hold my "Office Hour" where learners can ask questions about the topics they are studying. Mostly focusing on Cisco CCNA 200-301 topics. Feel free to join us there live if you are available. Here is the link ogit.online/Join_OGIT_on_Discord Thanks again Garegin Asatryan!

How can i know when a directly attached static route to an interface is using ARP?

A question I have is does a Router itself have an IP Address separate from it's individual interface ports IP Addresses? It was a question that dawned on me while doing your section of the new CCNA 201-301 course.
@KeithBarker
@KeithBarker 4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the question. On a router, it will have IP addresses on interfaces, and that is all. Now, some of those interface may be physical, such as interface Gig 0/0, and interface Gig 0/1, and others may be logical interfaces called loopback interfaces, such as interface loopback 0, and interface loopback 6783 Thanks again for the question, and for participating in this channel.

Hey Keith. Big fan of your videos. Great work. I started to watch this particular one thinking I could see you do some config examples but didn’t really see much happening there. Maybe behind the scenes etc should be in the title? Looking forward to checking out your new videos. Keep up the great work. Thanks

Hi Mohit. For the new CCNA there are several options. We have videos on how to build your own physical network, how to use the free Packet Tracer, and how to use the licensed VIRL product from Cisco. For my portion of the new CCNA training, I provided hands on labs for most of it, so the learner can click on the link, and do the lab right there from the CBT Nuggets web site. I strongly recommend getting the free Packet Tracer from Cisco, it will allow you to do almost everything you would want to practice (along with the provided online labs). The new Cisco CCNA content should be released within the next couple months. The training for the existing CCNA is online, but doesn't provide hands on labs (another reason to get Packet Tracer for hands on practice). Hope that helps, and thanks for the questions!

@@KeithBarker Thanks Heaps. currently I am doing all my labs on Packet Tracer. was thinking to buy VIRL regards to GNS3 setup. i will probably get VIRL now.
