u have to configure first : A, CNAME, SPF and PTR for ur mail server

You forgot to mention that to access external URL from outside network , requires port forwarding to mail server instead you showed in internal network pretending external link would work just like that....

Yes, correct. We need to open the ports in firewall in order to allow the access.
