Excellent solution !! I am configuring a yeastar PBX with NO-IP. Everything seemed OK but it coudn't start the service. I took the special characters away from the password and now it works smoothly. Thank you, this video saved me hours of work.

you would need to create your own dns server on your hosting backend and much more work to sync it all I think...

Thank you for this very helpful setup process! My concern is I do not have a DDNS and only a DHCP so will it be still possible to do this setup? I also need to keep a wifi connection speed at a 2.4gz due to other devices runnign on my system that can only work on that speed. Thanks again for your time and help on this process! My password and hostname don't contain any special characters but the router still can't authorize the account. Any ideas? Edit: I rebooted the router and it started working. I suspect that everything worked before, but he wrote about an error.

Hi. Very good video. Pwd with no special characters, and the server address were key. However, I am still unable to access my router from outside my network. Clearly I am missing something here. Appreciate if you could create a video with the next steps. I have tried playing with Port Forwarding, however port forwarding only allows me to open ports for devices inside my network, which is past the router. I need to figure out what I am missing to get access to the router configuration page? Much obliged.

I am in the UK and have a BT router and use noip to view my CCTV on my mobile. When I am away from my house and the IP address changes I can not view the CCTV on my mobile and have to wait til I get home to find out what the new IP address is and then modify it. We like our customers to open tickets so we are able to better assist in a timely manner. That said, most likely you are referring to our DCA (Device Configuration Assistant) which is designed to ensure that your network is configured properly to allow remote access to your device. However, that does not actually configure anything for you and does not force any steps as you only need to create a hostname to use our service. If the network/device is configured to allow remote connection then you would just need to create a hostname and install an update client at the network to ensure No-IP is working properly, however most of the time port forwarding rules need to be configured to allow the connection.
