Confirmed: The MT-10 is a wheelie monster

Riding around town with my buddy on his 2018 MT-10 and a group of other riders, goofing off and having some fun this weekend.

I have not even played with wheelies yet only 1200 miles on the clock since a bought it some weeks ago. All i ride is the twisties but I have been unintentionally lofting on corner exits as I get more and more confident ....this thing is just a BEAST! Even in mode 2 just whacking the throttle open coming off corners the last of the turn is on one wheel.....crazy!

No doubt, the bike is crazy. I’ve had lift control on the lowest setting and I’m fine with it there. Between the tune and upsizing my rear tire to a 200/55, it now wheelies better with lift control on but it won’t let you loop. Tons of fun

once you get them to Colorado altitude, you have to clutch it up. cant get mine to power up at 5300ft. and even then the tcs kicks in and drops it back down. @@2WCapo

I bought a MT10 2023 in april, flash and decat it's really a beast and i'm looking for the best setting to wheelie cause mine lift to fast , so what i understand your on power 1 with lift control on 1 ? ride safe and keep making videos with cool comments

Hey thanks for the comment!! Yea lift control 1, power “full”. First and second gear it’s just rip the throttle and trust that it will catch you. Keep your foot over the rear brake just in case though.

I test rode a 2017 yesterday and did my first wheelie ever. 100% unintentional. It was so smooth coming up and barely felt it when it came down. Crazy torque.

What bar end mirrors and what levers are you running? I bought an mt10 earlier this year and have been looking for something similar to your setup. Great content, keep it up!

ASV levers and CRG bar end mirrors. I didn’t use the CRG mirror mounts, I instead bought some “Fenrir” screw in bar end mounts off Amazon that work way better than the friction fit ones. Hope this helps, there are other videos on the channel showing the mirrors and bars.

I have a 2020 mt10, but Europe spec obviously. I have 3 TC modes and 3 power modes. They all wheelie, anything I can do to turn on nonexistent wheelie control ? 😂

I believe the 2020 used regular traction control to help prevent wheelies, in 2022+ they added the IMU from the R1 that allows you to fine tune things like wheelie height and slide control.

Mode 3 for both shouldn't really lift the wheel more than a few inches. TCS kills the power in mode 3 when it lifts. I ride in mode 2 TCS and 2 power and straight piped and flashed ecu. The thing wheelies in every gear off the throttle even in that mode it's nuts 😂

@@coso6708 now that I’ve got used to the bike it’s not a problem. The smoothest wheelies even in mode 1 on both. Just had to give it time before it felt like an extension of my body. Didn’t help I got it straight piped and custom mapped day 1 it was too much power to learn enough in a month

Yea he was going about 120 mph so the tire puff smoke when it touches back down. Pretty wild lol

I'm 63, have a typical '19 decat/2WDW flash mt10. I wont even try those nutz balance point wheelies. I had a '21 mt09 with the new electronics/6 axis imu. I'de do the dame thing, let the wheelie control do all the work. I sold the mt-09, I'm sticking with the old-school first-gen mt10. The cp4 is just too beautiful.

I also replaced the rear sprocket with +1 over stock and I’m running a 200/55 rear tire. May affect the wheelie while using lift control.
