Nice congrats! I’ve been running a 200/55 rear tire and I swapped my rear sprocket to +1 from stock but I’m going back to a 190 rear tire because it felt faster with the smaller tire. The rest of my mods are comfort / aesthetic. The bike is awesome enjoy that SP!

Just bought my sv650. 2017 model 64.000 klm on the clock. Coming from a 125cc bike. I can absolutely say I felt at home right away. The engine is sweet and it is easy to get used to. Best decision I ever made . Your video man is 100% accurate

I have street bike and a klx230s for off roading. However, I am strangely drawn to the KLR’s. They are giving them away at my dealer for $5900. I do t need it but coming very close to pulling the trigger.

I’m seriously considering something in the dual sport range. Something lightweight maybe in the KLX300 range. I feel like the 650 is too heavy for what I Would want to do off road.

Why do you say that ABS is awful?
@2WCapo24 күн бұрын
At least on the one bike I’ve owned that has it it engages way too easily and causes my braking ability to suffer even on dry straight roads. I’ve heard it’s less noticeable on some brands more than others but I’m not a fan of it.

The star of the SV for me has to be that sweet little 645cc V-Twin engine. Having had both an SV and a 'Weestrom' over the years, I grew to love this fantastic little twin (quite quickly). It has so much charm and character and gives you what you ask of it with enthusiasm, even bouncing off the limiter. Plus, they're close enough to being damn near bulletproof. An added bonus is that I've found them really good on fuel too. The rest of the bike is not that bad too, it's nothing special in one particular area, but good at pretty much everything for such a basic specification. They're also a great blank canvas to modify how you want with such a huge aftermarket. It's just a great/fun 'pure' riding experience that will very rarely let you down over years and years of riding/ownership. Like a Mazda MX-5, they can still give you a smile without having to break speed limits. In fact, you could pretty much call it the MX5 of the bike world!
@2WCapo25 күн бұрын
Love the comment! I agree, the SV is such a sweet bike. If I could fit 3 bikes in the garage it’s one of my top considerations as a fun daily.

I bought without abs . Which one do you like better and why?
@2WCapoАй бұрын
I prefer non abs because that’s what I’m used to and it’s better on track and it also saves money. ABS is good for people learning to ride or who ride in all types of conditions but I’ve only ever found it to reduce my ability to brake fast. Some brands make their abs systems better than others, my only ABS experience is with my Yamaha and I’m considering removing it.

What's hilarious about it?if it were hilarious I don't think they would have kept it in production for 100 years.they actually have marketing experts and stuff for that sort of thing.its not a 10 at anything but it's a SOLID 7 or 8 at EVERYTHING.I lost count at around 30 of how many motorcycles I've owned since my 7th birthday in 1976 and have literally ridden daily ever since, rain, shine,sleet, and some snow even though it rarely snows here, I was on a motorcycle when it did and my klrs are one my favorite.the fuel injection and other updates made it even better.YOU are hilarious!
