@@sentauri43 because they know that using filler words like “like” and “um” makes you sound like you’re not put together and don’t know what you’re talking about, so instead they use “essentially,” which is still a filler word because it essentially (😉) means nothing the way they’re using it, but it makes them sound smarter while they’re trying to think of the next thing to say

I actually felt like Caleb went through some character development. Reflected on his actions, apologized to Stevens, drove Kevin home so he can study, and then did a favor for Stevens. Caleb's all grown up. Like, uh, Oedipus for example.

I can't explain it, but whenever I see a Joel Haver video I'm hesitant to click it, but never regret watching. It's almost like I can't stand the fact that I'm looking at a near perfect reflection of my own awkwardness, but that there's catharsis in seeing it play out in front of me with no consequences.
