age 62 was on Finasteride 1 mg for 3 months had to stop. skin irritations, hives, welts after 6 weeks so stoped. started again 1 week later half mg. broke out again on face neck buttocks stayed with it 4 weeks even tried taking in evening hopping side effects would end but no luck so that was it. good luck to those with no side effects

Shit! I have still lots of vellus hair but also some regrow of hair. Had a chronic D3 deficiency, low B12, low Vitamin A, low iron, low Protein 😅… I was hoping all will come back with time. But I don’t want to take finasterade or other chemical treatments…

Rob, I have some questions. I recently consulted with a trichologist, and during my trichoscopy, she showed me that I have no signs of miniaturization but rather a case of chronic telogen effluvium. What I want to know is: To what extent can the pattern of telogen effluvium resemble androgenetic alopecia? Can hair strands in telogen effluvium temporarily become thinner? Can telogen effluvium affect your hairline, making it look like AGA?

Absolutely not, not even close. Finasteride at the minimum is mandatory to stop or prevent balding. Minoxidil not so much but helpful to grow more hair if finasteride results are not satisfactory.
