The train engineer is a hoot and makes this train ride a ride you will never forget. The train does a switch back method to get to the top of mountain. Such a nice roadside attraction. First time i have ever seen real chipmunks, let alone chipalopes. Cute little animals with large eyes. The gravity house has some treats that i have not yet seen in any of your other mystery spot videos: nice to see how the pendulum is not influenced by the gravity effect of the house! Really a fun park, embedded in nature, with various items to keep one's attention. Thank you Jacob, and Jenn, for leading us through! i was wondering: are these beautiful redwood trees actually Meta Sequoias, or are they an entirely different species?
@lindasolis71172 жыл бұрын
These are the California Coastal Redwoods ((Sequoia sempervirens). These grow along the coastal mtns from nothern CA down to Big Sur on the central coast. The other redwood species is the Giant Sequoia that grows in the Sierra Nevada mtns, around Yosemite and Sequoia Nat'l parks. My dad was a wanna-be botonist, so I grew up visiting and learning about them. Love them!
@agerven2 жыл бұрын
@@lindasolis7117 Thank you Linda for this extended information! I once saw some sequoias in Disneyland Paris, where they have a few as well as a small exhibition on the sequoia trees. Magical tree, none of the sequoia species are native in Europe.

Why do you have to get moving? You've said that in a couple of other videos when you haven't had time to do something b/c you need to get moving. If I'm going to go to all the effort to get to the west coast (or to any destination), I'm going to want to do EVERYTHING that's available (unless it just doesn't interest me). But then again, I would travel by the seat of my pants and would never even consider making a reservation for somewhere to stay. I have had lots of adventures that way. I forgotten most of the generic motels at which I've stayed when traveling with my parents, but I haven't forgotten the night I slept in the car in San Francisco. (Nothing bad happened.) I also haven't forgotten the people I met in hostels.

The "Wood that will lower your score" was referring to the pencil. Shaving strokes is a common way to cheat in golf. Its writing down a lower stroke count for that hole than what you actually swung. You score your own card when you play golf so you either have to trust your opponent or count their strokes too....... That's the end of this segment............ knowledge from an old guy (60) lol First (of Im sure, more) Edit...... That snore stopper is kind of scary. Look at the size of it. It would only fit on an infants nose!! 2nd...... I, also, loe my hot dogs burnt. The real good ones are burnt but not split so you get that snap when you bite in
