I love the smaller museum. We also have one here that is very old and is free . That one looked awesome. The Kewpie doll actually started out as a cartoon character based on baby cupids by Rose O'Neill in 1909 .She sold paper dolls of them to make extra money. In 1912 Germany started to make bisque dolls of them. What an interesting place to be laid to rest. I did not know that was the kind of apples he planted .Great video Keep Safe ❤Keep Well❤

Life long Lima resident here. We have 3 Kewpee locations. Reason why it reminds of you Wendys is because Dave Thomas was a part owner of Kewpee. Kewpee was originally in hotels exclusively. Also Kewpee is where Wendy's square patty on a round bun and never frozen beef comes from. The patties are made every day by the butcher. They also have malts and and chili the exact same way that Wendy's makes it. The two split and Dave Thomas started Wendy's which is nowhere near as good. If you think those lines are long, you have seen nothing. If you go during lunch time you will be waiting AT LEAST an hour if not longer, but its always worth it. I am just said you passed through once again without visiting the Temple Of Tolerance. You need to make a trip there.

As I remember, the Kewpee Dolls were a common prize given out on midway game's prior to the mass production of stuffed animals. According to Wikipedia they were first made in 1912, and were based on a 1909 comic strip character. Personally those things used to creep me out.

I really had to laugh at this unexpected video. I live in Fort Wayne and was not expecting any filming of our city. Ever. You did a good representation of it but I hope you popped into Coney Island for some chili dogs and chili, same recipe for over 100 years, their cheeseburgers are awesome too. And then you visited Churubusco, I also lived there. Sleepy friendly little town. Inside Magic Wand it’s decorated with a million clown items haha but they have great flavored fountain cokes, home cooking and lots of ice cream items and flavored frozen yogurt. This video makes me remember how much I love summer. Thanks Jacob.

The Victorian taxidermy and displays are legit the best I've seen. The critters in costumes and poses are adorbs. I could have spent hours looking at everything especially the leaves. I know this is a little way down the road, but I have some suggestions for when you hit the Sacramento area: In Folsom, you should check out Sutter Street, the historic part of town that includes a Pioneer Village, a train museum, and a Folsom museum. Also check out the Johnny Cash Trail, which is a walking trail/art exhibit! In Sacramento, it's definitely worth checking out the California State Railroad Museum in Old Sac. The round house there has some old train cars you can see inside of, but the third floor is my favorite part: the model train exhibit, with super, super cool miniature city and town scenes made by some big model train people!

The Fort Wayne TinCaps used to be known as the Fort Wayne Wizards from 1993-2008. They changed their name to the TinCaps in 2009. Theis mascot it called Johnny TinCap. They're part of the Midwest League (High Class A). Regarding Kewpies... they were originally part of a comic strip in the early 1900s. that because super popular & spawned the dolls & figurines. Kewpies are baby Cupids.

Kewpie is a brand of dolls and figurines that were conceived as comic strip characters by cartoonist Rose O'Neill. The illustrated cartoons, appearing as baby cupid characters, began to gain popularity after the publication of O'Neill's comic strips in 1909, and O'Neill began to illustrate and sell paper doll versions of the Kewpies. The characters were first produced as bisque dolls in Waltershausen, Germany, beginning in 1912, and became extremely popular in the early 20th century.

Awesome video Carpetbagger! I like Kewpies! They’re fun! That hamburger looks good, almost like a Wendy’s hamburger. I love little diners like that. We don’t have many restaurants like that these days. The restaurant I like is Slim Chicken’s. I get the classic meal with Dr. Pepper and Ranch sauce. Pretty good! If you find one you should stop and eat at it. It’s really good. I like the museum too. I like local museums like that. They’re hidden gems. That Johnny Appleseed statue is awesome! I love him! He was a true Christian. He cared about the environment. I like that they included the Bible in his statue. That sign is right. He did make children smile. But it’s weird that he planted whisky apples. He should have planted sweet apples. I also like that Elektro the robot. That’s fascinating that that was done in 1939. That’s a long time ago. I also like the washing machine that sings. Wish I had one that sings like that! And that baseball team is cool! The Tincups is a great name for a town dedicated to Johnny Appleseed. Well, thanks for sharing! Have a great day!

What other American folk characters would you wanna meet & greet at the parks?
