Congaree National Park - Kayak Camping

A two-day one-night kayak camping trip in South Carolina's Congaree National Park. Three men experience the wild floodplain with towering cedar trees, moss-covered branches, mud and logjams. Many logs in the creek to go over, under, and around on the 20-mile paddle. Great video Eric! I haven't paddled that section in a few years so it's nice to see what it's like right now. The Bear turd was likely a Wild Boar turd. We get them about 2x the size of the 1 in the video. The steep cliffs on your right side are Congaree Bluffs Heritage Preserve. There's an observation deck at the top. Can you let me know how far it was from that BIG blockage to the river?

This was a good video man. Man that was a big Portage that you all had to do man. Your two buddies that had the Tarpon 100 those are some nice kayak & i also like your Ascent kayak too. I have a Tarpon 100 myself & i use it for kayak camping & kayaking. I also like your Crocs too man. They are nice to wear for kayaking. I have to kayak barefooted 👣 because I have big very very Extremely wide feet sz15 6E wide ( which is very very extremely wide feet 🦶) with very very chubby fat wide toes that are Evenly straight across making my foot very very Extremely wide at 6 1/2 inches wide from my big toe to my lil toe. My foot outgrow shoes , socks , & boots when I was young & Flip flops 🩴 is the only footwear that will barely and I mean barely fit on my feet 🦶 because my toes are wider than the flip flops 🩴straps. It was a good thing that you was wearing your Crocs in that mud were you was putting back into the water. Good video man. My family doesn't like to kayak in the winter time. But we can't wait to get back on our kayak & do some kayak camping. Thanks you for sharing it.

Glad you liked the video, it was an interesting trip. We wanted to go in the winter to avoid the mosquitos, and fortunately it wasn't very cold. You must have very wide feet! Thanks for the comments and good luck back out on the water.

@ericbruce1959 yes I do! I have very very extremely wide feet 🦶 6 1/2 inches wide from my big toe to my lil toe with very very chubby fat wide toes that are Evenly straight across. That is what is making my foot so wide is my toes being Evenly straight across instead of being at a 45° Degrees angle like your toes are. Thanks you so much.
