Sadly, the veil was pulled back when she made derogatory remarks about her staff as she was making her run for Houston’s mayor. It is widely reported that she was unpleasant to her staff and people around her. This news station is making it sound as though she was the second coming of Christ. Political leaders should be measured on concrete accomplishment, how did they help their communities? What we see in Washington are politicians who have had decades of public service at the taxpayers expense, but not much to show for it. While I haven’t studied her legislative record in its entirety, it is certainly open to debate. May she rest in eternal peace.

R.I.P Congresswoman......although I may have not followed or agreed with all of your policies, your contributions to Houston, TX and the United States of America can not be denied. You were a champion for the underdog and the little people and for that I am very grateful. You made history and you made a major impact!! You fought for what you believed was right, and you were tenacious when advocating for poor people and those less fortunate.
