Couldn't have been dropped in a better time: Sitting in the dark,alone, on a rocking chair, on the terrace of a villa, in a land located between 5 villages in the mountains. Will watch this video, read "Magic of the Northgate" by JMC and sleep afterwards A perfect night Thanks for making my night much better Denis❤️❤️🌹🌹👍🏻👍🏻

Good old JSK. Only last night I came across articles by him from nearly 40 years ago now, in a couple of Lamp Of Thoth magazines from the 80's I was perusing. His work has been so valuable over the years, we can only wish him the very best at what must be a terrible time, and hope for as full a recovery as possible..

Wonderful review, I just got into these about a year ago. These are one of the best esoteric compendium/journal series out there, the content really is excellent. While not as luxurious to hold and ogle as Anathema's Pillars, the paperback price point makes these an outstanding value for the money. The 5th issue is scheduled for the end of October! YAY!

I noticed the chapter on the language of the birds. I'm curious about the context of this as it's a subject I'm quite interested in. Is this about the epic poem which is one of my favorites or is it referring to the use of green language? I've heard the language of the birds refer to that in addition to it's obvious meaning. I know the two are somewhat synonymous but Is the focus on the poem or the use of occult symbolic language in general?
@FoolishFishBooks2 жыл бұрын
In this case it's only the title of a think piece on the Thoth-ian/Hermetic nature of language and the role of communication in magic (specifically communication with spirits) with a focus on the author's experiences (and notes) communicating with the Angels of the Ars Paulina 😊👍

Can anyone recommend a good, reputable, and credible candle magick author/book? I'm very particular with sigil magick and would like to use the correct color for the intention and ask. I use colored matches. Thanks!
@FoolishFishBooks2 жыл бұрын
Good question. Candle magic isn't an area of speciality for me, I'm afraid, but I'd also be curious to know if there are any generally recommended books for that.
@alexanderkaval75062 жыл бұрын
I'd definitely start with "The art of hoodoo candle magic " by cat yronwode. Doesn't matter if your not a hoodoo person, when it comes to candle magic hoodoo more or less does it best and she's pretty much the best author for that kind of thing. Plus it doesn't get much cheaper, think it's around $10!
@alexanderkaval75062 жыл бұрын
Lucky mojo also reprints the old henri Gamache book "the master book of candle burning " a classic, also under $10.
@alexanderkaval75062 жыл бұрын
@@FoolishFishBooks lucky mojo makes the best books for that stuff imho. At the very least I'd get cat yronwodes "hoodoo herb and root magic", indispensable! And, if you get the HC off the LM website it comes signed! While you're at it get Johannes Björn Gårdbäcks "Trolldom..."!😁😉

@@FoolishFishBooks Thank you for letting me know, I appreciate that. Some of my friends recently gifted to me his Pandemonium out of blue, then the KZbin algorithm suggested some of Jake's videos, so it was kind of natural to wonder what is happening with the person, who was brought to my attention suddenly. I guess he needs something from some of us. Thanks once again.
