Hmm. I am in the most difficult, most unusual situation of my life. There is this man who appeared in my life during this time. He is like no other man I have ever met. My 19 year old daughter died one year ago after a long sickness and tremendous suffering. This man is married (so am I). But tons of extenuating circumstances. His wife is in pretty advanced dementia and my estranged husband has Alzheimer’s, and was very unsupportive (and even quite abusive) during my daughter’s illness. I listen to you and Veronica Isles and a number of other relationship coaches. Sorry this is so long. I don’t know if my situation is too weird, but I find lots of what you coaches say is helpful. This video was particularly appealing to me.

I can relate to your situation in a sense. I am 36 with no children and lost my father a few years ago. He was very important to me and his loss left me profoundly affected. I was in a 11 yr marriage to a wonderful man, but was never in love/had a real connection. But here’s the kicker- I met a man a little over two years ago (also in an unhappy, unfulfilled marriage). We became friends first then it eventually evolved into more- a very deep connection and loving relationship . He had even separated from his wife back around Christmas, only to return out of guilt over her mental state and a declining health condition. He admits that he doesn’t think he will ever have the nerve/ get past this in order to fully leave. While I respect his stance/his concern for her through this, I am uncertain of what to do... as we have found something deep and meaningful with each other. Of course I want more... a real relationship, but i am also conscious of his dilemma/situation and feel bad... feeling sorry for not only him and for her... but also myself. As selfish as it sounds.

slp2007 I am sorry to hear this, but glad I am not the only one. I use a lot of self-help things, and am trying to struggle through. I’m not sure if I want to get over him or not. I’m trying to do more me-centered stuff and I’m just gonna see what happens I guess.

Right there with you. I honestly don’t know what I’m going to do. I’m also trying to focus more on me-time. The things that bring me joy. It’s a tough spot to be in, especially given the fact that he is so adamant about not wanting to lose me/keeping me in his life. Some days I don’t want to lose him either...and others I think I’m possibly selling myself short. 😔 gonna just try to feel my way through this and not get too caught up in my head or my emotions.

I have a question regarding deep cennection with a man, don't know if it is possible to get answer here or if you can recomend some of your videos for answer, haven't been able to sort out by my self unfortunately. If, when and how do I talk to a man about my very challegeing childhood and that my mum is a narcissist and how that has effected me? Don't want to be a "victim" or put feelings on him around it. I want to carry all that by my self but at some point I think I need to explain or tell why I don't have normal contact with my mum and why some parts of my life has been as they are without making it a "sad-victim-drama" story even if it has effected me in a very complicated way of course and taken me many many years in therapy to sort out. How can I talk to a man about it and still bring him closer. and have a deep connection?

Helena I need your advice. My guy is very sensitive and so i am but he is very much ,he cannot handle tense situation and he puts a high cold wall infront of me for days and even my learning back for months doesnt help. Finally we are back then again comes the tense situation and boom he is gone again. Blocks me every single time to protect himself from drama. It's been a year of relationship. LDR. I am blocked again. What do I do nothing works. Not even leaning back in ldr. Even if I try reminding him our good times he likes that in good mood and stops me in his legendary coldness. Now I am blocked .cant even fix. Gets angry if I get jealous also. Well I am a woman how can I not be. Seems like he wants freedom. But I dont know if freedom and relationship can go together? He doesn't see a future together with me cuz he cannot have both together. I can't even lean back being LDR

Girl, Run away fast! He is manipulating you to have everything his way or the highway! Leave him! Do not contact him. Block HIM ASAP! He is a Narcissist! It will never get better with him! I have been through this myself. When he finally figured out that you are the o n.v e with the power he will try something else to control you.
