Have you tried GarageBand in iOS on iPad, I did this on someone’s x32 during a gig , I picked up about 9 channels, not the ones I wanted, I only used one usb cable out of the x32 into iPad and started searching and adding the input channels, then looking at metres and finding signals , I found some but not all . Firstly do you know if this will work? And did I just do something wrong. Or was I lucky to get anything at all with out even touching the x32? Remembering I’m on iPad withGB Please any response will be greatly appreciated Thankyou

How are you monitoring your tracks? Do you have to reset the inputs to card?

You can send the individual tracks out to individual channels on the x32 if you want, but most engineers will use only two outputs from their DAW. A Left and right stereo Buss. So you only need two inputs from your DAW. All the tracks in the DAW are sent to that stereo buss either individually or in groups. The "mixing" is done in the DAW and sent out as a stereo mix. You can pan each track where ever you want in that stereo buss to maintain a stereo mix. The way I set my x32 up is to have inputs 1-8 and 9-16 on LOCAL inputs. That way I can use up to 16 mics and record them all separate. I then have inputs 25-32 set on CARD inputs to receive the stereo buss signal from my computer on channels 31 and 32. You will need to create that stereo buss and assign it to channels 31 and 32 inside your DAW. That part has nothing to do with the x32. The inputs 17-24 are not used at all so it doesn't matter where they are set on the x32. So essentially you split the x32 to receive the first 16 channels as the actual board inputs, then set the last bank of 8 (25-32) to receive from the computer. Whenever you hit play on your DAW the signal comes into the x32 on channels 31 and 32. Make sure they're turned up and make sure you have them fully panned left and right to hear your mix in stereo. Hope my book helped you out lol! Cheers!

Videos kind of a joke you don’t explain to anybody how to get the sound back out of your daw so you really only give us half the answer here. Definitely appreciate the first half but would love for you to explain how you get the sound back out of your Daw.
