you cracked the code man. Very interesting the chromatic lines you create with Mixolydian scale harmonized in 6th in between E7 chords.

Is that an old OM21? Whatever it is, it sounds warm and lovely. Really these lessons and the themes you explore. Thank you for sharing!

Hi Jeff - missed this before! It's an old 00-18 from the fifties. But so brown it looks like mahogany on top, for sure :-)

Great video! What kind of Microphone pickup do you have installed in your Martin?
@FretboardConfidential6 жыл бұрын
Hi Billy - Thanks! It's a Crown mini-mic that was installed ages ago as part of a Fishman Blender system. It's wired together with a passive Fishman piezo transducer in the bridge.

so mixolidian is a major scale with a flatted 7th. can you use the major 7th, being that some blues does mix major and minor? it doesnt sound good with this progression
@georgechristiansen67856 жыл бұрын
Maybe as a passing tone, but the major and minor that is "mixed" in blues is the third not the seventh. The major sixth and major third is used most often to get the major color in most blues and jazz because of the leading tone properties. "Modern" jazz uses a maj7 chord, but older jazz generally uses a maj6 chord.
