Most People in Germany know at least two languages, due to our education system. I personally can speak English, French, German and Arabic (and learned Italian in school for two years but I can't really remember)

When I was in kindergarten I already learned a couple of English words, but only easy ones which are similiar to German words (hello, yes, no, apple...). Advise for the scooter thing, take a look at an old german scooter legend it's called "Schwalbe" (swallow) the only scooter here that allowed to drive 60 km/h (around 37 mph) all others has top speed of 45 km/h (around 27 mph) :)

Shalom_Don Not the whole true. All "Mopeds" that are built in the former GDR are allowed to go 60 km/h. There is not only the Schwalbe. Also the SR50 is a Scooter that runs 60 km/h. At least these which were sold in the GDR and until 1991. Export version for West Germany were reduced to 50 km/h.
