Connie Francis, such a beautiful talented and very intelligent woman,, I was in love with her in 1960, and I was all of 14 but she really was one of the greatest. Todays crap yappitty yap , is all about showing how much ass you have, nothing about music. No comparison. The human race is racing backwards. Connie was one of its high points.

Mr. Franconero called his daughter " sister " ! I think fellow Italian Paula Prentiss had it right as far as miscasting Francis . In the several movies they and Jim Hutton made together she was usually cast as the 'dog' or unattractive one .

Calling her “sister” was an affectionate term. Once after my mom, who was her hairdresser, made Connie up - George told her she had didn’t have good taste. His exact words were your taste is in your *#%^. She looked beautiful so my mom & Connie argued with him and he retreated because it was 2 against 1. It was just his way of getting under her skin. Keeping her in check. Making sure she stayed down to earth.
