Let's see Taylor Swift try and match (even come close) to a performance like this one. And, there have been so many other female singers with incredible talent. Did not count on computer generated images, flash, bang in order to sing a song. Really a very simple thing to do. You just need talent.

She was a terrific singer with perfect phrasing. The powers that be tried to force her into movies, which were a bad fit for her - it was all about the voice, and when she made a film, it seemed that they didn't know what to do with her, or how to make her shine. This happened to way too many talented singers sadly. Robert Goulet, Patti Page, Mel Torme, Rosemary Clooney - the list goes on. They didn't belong on the screen. Not even Goulet, who was a very good looking man, and Rosemary Clooney was a very pretty girl - It was all about the voice. These singers shone in the recording studios, and television. Movies - no.
