that's not the issue xddd the issue is property prices rising to a point where the local population can't afford to live here anymore, only the people who come from other countries can because they earn a lot more than the average portuguese salary! and as Portugal gets more and more popular, more and more foreigners choose to live here which is awesome for the cultural and economical expansion but leaves locals having to leave the places where they were born to go and look for cheaper areas. read the room

Your country wants immigrants cause they have a shortage on labor force and things are getting more expensive isn’t a result of immigration in all Europe food has gone more expensive but in Portugal way more because the Supermarkets have a larger profit percentage if I’m not mistaken at least 40% which is something that should be regulated by the DECO so no immigration isn’t a result of the high prices
