Is it possible to slow down and simplify life living in this fast-paced world? What are ways you guys slow down?
@lovingsunshine35152 жыл бұрын
Yes it’s possible. We are a young family with small kids ages 6 and 8. They love to play sports, but they only do one sport at a time so we’re not all over the place every week. I also chose to work at my kids’ school so I’m off on the weekends, holidays, and summer to spend more time with them. Luckily my husband and I are in a financial position to be able to do that to be a one income during summer time.

I am almost 57 and I find that if I work hard at finding joy and peace in each day , it creates an environment of peace. I look back on life and realize that I wasted moments by creating panic or fear, when in fact things worked out better than I could have dreamed. I would realize the next day or an hour later that this was true. I have also learned to not feel selfish or bad about taking care of me or doing what I want to do for myself. I surround myself with people that bring me joy and peace and let go of those who do not. Blessings to you and everyone here. Find Joy today. Even for a moment. 🍑🙌🏻🧡Lisa

@@Joy-cs4kl Love we are loving life as we age. I teach beauty and aging with grace and this is such a huge part of doing that. Feeling good in your skin and free to be who you are without worrying what others think. It serves me well and I have shown my adult daughter and son the same. I hope they will not have as hard a time because they have seen my journey. Have a blessed day Joy 🙌🏻🧡🍑Lisa

Hey Lisa! Thank you so much for sharing. I also used to waste so much time and energy being afraid or upset. Age has given me the wisdom to let it go.

Your quote of "My choices today shape my tomorrow " has become my new mantra. You are a beautiful soul and so inspiring. I too have been enjoying a slower simpler life now at 57. It's so wonderful to enjoy the beauty around us instead of rushing past it onto the next task. I really appreciate your wonderful videos. They are always great reminders of what's really important in life. Thank you Connie 😍🌿🐛🦋🌄

So true. All of this. I was raised in a “just one more thing” family. It was justified as each of these things was so small and short that you couldn’t argue not doing it. But I’m realizing they all add up, and that’s causing me a hectic life now. Working on it. Thanks for bringing this to light 💡

Thanks for this upload 🙏🏽. I am a School Librarian at a K-12 international school AND we're finally on Summer Break. It is my priority this summer to implement my plan to slow down and realign my activities with my goals. During the busyness of the school year, I found it difficult to stop, slow down, and take the time I need to meditate and reflect upon what I truly want in my life moving forward. Your upload is perfectly timed.

Hi Connie. People always talk about finding what you value and eleminate the rest. Like the quote from Leo in you video. But how do you find what you value in the midst of so much in your home and all the things coming at us daily in email, you tube, phone calls etc. that pull our attention in so many directions. I'm not sure HOW to find what I value. Thanks for your post. and would love to know how you packed a camp stove in for coffee with your guy. We live in CO and can go for a walk in the woods, but to bring something for a hot drink for the day??
