This was also the end of a very long fight for The Oilers, one that started back in December when they were dead last in the League and they're one of only 3 teams in the Salary Cap Era who have ever ultimately made The Stanley Cup Final in light of being dead last in the League half-way through the Season..... the Flyers in 2010, the Blues in 2019 being the others (and St. Louis WON The Cup). THEY WERE GASSED TONIGHT because of this, but this loss will fuel them next Season and they've fully bought into Chris Knoblauch.

They were not dead last half way through, they were 26-15-1 and on win 13 in a row. Yes they started horribly but they turned it around very early on in the year

The best team won because defense matters and they shutdown the two best offensive players in the world when it mattered. And for the record skinner played lights out in the final series and deserves more respect than Edmonton fans are giving him

Sometimes allowing a goal on the first shot isn’t the goalies fault. If you have a defenceman blow his coverage on a two on one it’s pretty difficult to expect the goalie to make the save

As a Kings fan. McDavid hasn't exactly earned my sympathy. As a Hockey fan it's a shame that such an individual talent like his didn't.....but this is a team game and Florida played the better team game tonight.

If McOverrated was as good as all the media said he was, then he would have scored more in the last 2 games. He would have scored in the key games, not pad his stats in blowouts.
