If not the best fighter, Mcgregor is by far the healthiest man in the division. He is the only fighter I have seen that has superb posture and balance. He's a real freak specimen.

orangeiceice12 do you have a background in psychology or something like that? I genuinely would be interested to hear more of your views on his mindset. As I cannot understand how someone can build there whole universe around 1 pursuit and then have no nerves whatsoever during a fight when the potential of your whole world turning to dust is a serious possibility.

rob marshall Well I had the pleasure of a 10 minute conversation with the guy, and he does feel the pressure. As Joe Rogan said, it is the insanity of a champion. Physically, his stance allows for a much greater variety of strikes and his spine is correctly aligned to produce the most force in each shot.

Only a perfect fighter will come up with their own fighting style and understand the mental aspect of fighting as much as the physical. If you don't like Connor McGregor, you do not understand or see greatness and your life will not matter when your gone. Become your self. Don't try to be different by trying to become like another person who is different.

newsflash! nobody gives a fuck about you when you die. people barely give a fuck about you when you're alive.
@21kburd8 жыл бұрын
Yeah that was my exact philosophy a year ago. Once you realize that yes, no one gives a fuck but it's not about them giving a fuck, it's about you giving a fuck about your own destiny and put some effort into believing yourself, you'll be able to live how ever you want. Life is about making yourself happy an comfortable and there is nothing wrong with wanting to help other people realize they can make themselves happy.

lol. wondering what he was saying. Great translation. Crazy irish:)
@cheese34169 жыл бұрын
gbitdot great article by Dave hill came out last month he talks In depth what it was like facing conor.great read. Google Dave hill on 2 year anniversary of facing mcgregor. He said conor said right there, I can go all day, u wanna go 5 rounds let's go etc.. also he said ,"you look soft, you look soft " and Dave hill said that one affected him cause he walked back and was thinking in his head "damn do I look soft?" So the stuff conor says is effective buy only because he is so confident skilled and ready so the combination of that with his words do affect people. His body language and his style of never taking a back step really gets guy's to question selves like " damn. This dude just wants it more and is not afraid of me at all" and he said to mendez at the start of fight with herb dean in middle he said twice u can hear him , " Let's see who takes the first back step now" and conor ran at him and threw spin back kick which is a no no vs wrestlers and conor was never takin a back step. That I feel is why he did get taken down and allowed mend es to land a few punches not very clean tho. But the strategy paid off he won. Yes he got taken down but it's cause he never was respecting the take down always moving forward. But when it mattered at end of second round right before he TKO him guess what?? HE STUFFED THE TAKEDOWN and then u could see mendes officially break. He was already breaking between rounds of look close to his face when in his corner. He was slouching down not saying anything. Corner guys trying to motivate him but he had kinda already realized he didn't have what it took to win. Or the gas to go for a decision. Conor already lit him up to body, walked through his powerful punches and survived his gnp. And was still smiling at start of round two. Good job to mendes I know he prob feels he could do better with rematch buy thing is conor would also do way better bc he will have been practicing td defense and prob play safer by not charging in whole time. Just stay back and pick him apart. Conor also had a bad knee so had no live wrestling or sparring in camp and resulted in bad weight cut. So if rematch ed conor would also do way better and imo as great as mendes Is and even if he never got tired and got more take downs the same result or worse will happen. Conor will light him up on feet and if knee 100% he will be powerful and throw all his kicks and be more focused. Like how he was vs siver. Vs mendes conor was pale.. sick looking. Eyes were black and dead looking. But vs siver and fights before he was fresh as daisy and super focused. Mendes would not fair we'll vs normal conor even if had a year to prepare. Good wrestling won't beat superior striking of conor mixed with extreme reach diff. I feel it will be 1st round ko or second. But not a tko.. an actual ktfo via kick or knew or ole reliable left straiggt. I'm still waiting on conor to land spinning heel or hook kick flush to the chin or temple for a cro cop style ko. Great fight tho Respect to mendes but conor is once in lifetime guy. Soon he will be at 155 and his full power and brilliance will dominate. Watch conor fight at 155 in cage warriors. He was a beast in that fight. That's his best weight. So much power and not drained for weight cut. That's his coaches plan to win gold at 145 asap then get to 155. His coach said before conor can only make that weight a few more times anyways as he gets older it gets harder. When he at 155 or even 170 he looks like an animal physically. I just feel like he would beat Lawler at 170 . The speed would be to much . I think only guy other than lhw or he that can really give conor true true problems is khabib. Khabib rag dolled rda and will have the 155 belt soon. He had bad knee so been sidelined. But he and conor I feel will have epic wars soon.

I don't know where he learned his fighting stance or if he naturally learned this stance. He might have learned it from Bruce Lee videos. Bruce Lee learned to keep a balanced stance that was effective in allowing great pivoting with the legs and allows you to throw a stronger faster punch. It also allows you to move your upper body from your opponents striking a lot more effectively. It is a very technical stance that gives your body balance, distance, pivotal speed and etc..... I learned this style picking up some martial arts move from fight videos before I knew Conor was doing it and Bruce Lee. I don't know how to fight. I don't do mma. I just watch videos and learned this style was best for me. Trust me, this style of fighting is one of or if not, the best style for fighting there is but Conor has more talent than just this stance. He is the greatest mental fighter. None can compare that I know of with his ability to dictate the fight before the fight happens. Insane inhumane demigod this man is as well as Bruce Lee was.

this "human movement" won't help him to escape takedowns and submissions from an elite grappler like Aldo.
@remmykauffer82528 жыл бұрын
Marv1996 and that's exactly why Aldo will take the fight to the mat in the first minute and keep it there until he submits Conor. Sadly, Conor's ground game is not good at all.
@remmykauffer82528 жыл бұрын
Marv1996 Well, if Mendes took Conor down so easily, the best grappler in the division, Aldo, will take him down too... and if Aldo is on top of Conor for ten seconds it's game over for Conor. . The only question you have to answer is if Conor can defend the takedowns, because Aldo is not planning to keep this fight standing.
@remmykauffer82528 жыл бұрын
***** The best defense, yes. But remember how he controlled position with ease against Frankie and all the other wrestlers he thought (except Mendes probably) and his fight against the best BJJ fighter in the division at the time, Florian. Imagine what he can do against someone who is known to lack grappling skills, someone like Conor. Mendes is the best wrestler, but Aldo is the best grappler, there's a difference.
@remmykauffer82528 жыл бұрын
***** no, it's not speculation, everybody knows that. he almost broke his neck when he escaped Mendes' choke.. that was desperation and had nothing to do with skill, just take a look at that move. If Mendes would've keep the grip a second more Conor would be a paraplegic now.

@jimmorrison82767 жыл бұрын
SgtTeeh he has great posture ?
@Franzibald_7 жыл бұрын
Absolutely not, hIs shoulders are extremely protracted, his upper arms are internally rotated and he also has a bit of kyphosis going on. Lots of tension in his posture from muscular unbalance or poor sitting habits, or maybe some Napeleon complex leads him to constantly push his shoulders forward. Don't get me wrong, as a fighting posture this is fine and obviously his physique works for fighting, but if your posture looks like this and you ask a physical therapist about it, they will tell you to fix some shit.
@jimmorrison82767 жыл бұрын
SgtTeeh he has the best posture in the ufc , that's a great countering position he has . he can just counter you all day with that left hand
@jimmorrison82767 жыл бұрын
SgtTeeh you don't know shit about fighting. Not one person his height can keep up with his fighting style . his "shit posture " KOs everyone so you make no fucking sense . it takes a lot of energy to fight like him cause his constantly flexes every muscle to generate all that power in his punches plus when he counters he leans back like Floyd and then lands the left.

Who cares if he has a shit posture? Lmao, he has a killer bone structure which adds on to him being a genetic freak made for fighting. You sound a bit jealous.
