It's pretty simple, he knows that there's a high chance his next fight is Aspinall so he's been fighting the psychological game for months. Frustrating Tom, belittling him, making him question if he's worthy. That's actually Jon "showing" he knows that's the fight or he wouldn't bother. Tom has two ways to handle this, not notice that's what Jon's doing and Lose the battle of the minds or take it as the utmost highest form of the compliment that it is that Jones even feels he needs to do this since for most of his opponents he was too good to even have to battle with them psychologically.

I genuinely see Demetrius Johnson as having spent the most time at the top, and he took on the most high level competition while winning in the most impressive, and skillful ways. Jon lost to Dom, coasted Santoz, he looked fat against stipe, was disqualified, and failed for PEDs. DJ just took on everyone, and when he went over seas he went up in weight and took on THE BEST. Not people who were the best. I would say GSP maybe but he bowed out early and honestly didnt have the same level of competition as DJ or Jon for that matter.

Fight tom and lose or completely destroy whats left of your PED legacy and disgraceful behaviour inside and outside the ring. Hows the glove bs for jones and dana saying they'll never use the new ones ever again and the very next card they are using the new gloves again. Jones is just not the goat imo. Too many nuances to help him win like drug testing. There were no questions asked about the duck

Jake's fights have been so carefully selected. The culmination of his narrative thru the mma fighters was supposed to have been Tommy Fury, an undefeated, yet record padded, mediocre boxer his age and size. Jake lost. So the ultimate plan failed now he needs a new cooked up plan for respect. And unfortunately for hardcore boxing and Tyson fans, too many of them couldn't realize Tyson, as great as he was, is no longer the man that dominated the heavyweight division decades ago. Obviously the fight between Paul and Tyson wasn't staged, but there definitely was a couple incentives for Jake to feel the fight out and act accordingly. If Mike was really competing, and putting up a real fight, having Jake against the ropes, Jake would have tried to Ko him. But it so happens, Mike just couldn't keep up and Jake both respected Mike enough and feared for his reputation if he knocked out a clearly old and washed up Mike. The outcome of this fight definitely depended on how well Mike would perform. And unfortunately for all the fools who couldn't see this coming, they lost massive bets and a huge mass delusion of a step for step punch for punch script around the fight materialized with a lot of ppl who failed to put the whole thing into a rational perspective.

One man? but Tom Aspinall and Francis Ngannou are two different men. 1:35 No, Jones didn't contrive anything to create beef like the cold, calculated, fictional character he wishes he was. He is actually just THAT NARCISSISTIC, he heard what Stipe said and assumed it had to be a dig at him, and he had to lash out just like he constantly lashes out at random people on social media. Really think about what kind of person Jones ACTUALLY is. Judge him by his actions, not how he occasionally presents himself. He is neither the uncanny "sweet" guy talking about Jesus and such, nor is he the cold psycho killer he wanted DC to think he was. He is a hot-headed, impulsive mess who can't go ONE YEAR of his post 30 grown ass man life without committing some kind of crime or taking PEDs or whatever else. The man is perpetually unhinged, unstable, insecure, confused, paranoid, in short a complete mess. Some of these are common symptoms of steroid abuse by the way.

Jon is a piece of garbage. Sure, an amazing fighter; but that's literally it. He's a worthless father, a terrible sportsman, a coward (running away from a car accident after injuring a pregnant lady) and now running away from Aspinall... "I want to fight dangerous veterans, not dangerous up-n-comers... AKA "I'm afraid of damaging my legacy, and Aspinall is a dangerous wild card; I'd prefer to fight people my TEAM can watch enough video on, and be certain of a victory." So - yeah, you're doing great cherry picking - if Tom defends even just 2-3 championships - the question will be a dark cloud over his legacy forever. Jon has to man up, take, ,and win this fight. He is likely in denial and hoping someone else derails the hype train, for him...
