Had problems for 40 years. Knew I had forward pelvic shift but didn't know I would need a different exercise for the lack of internal rotation. Has worked a dream ❤

If anyone has success stories for anterior pelvic tilt, please share them! Every APT fix video ever always talks about the cause, contributions, and solutions - we don't see anyone presenting proof and outcomes, even in comments, like a client or self before/after! Please share, everyone, so we can stop asking, searching for APT fix videos and finally trust in solutions! (I am not challenging the video content, just want to encourage tying loose ends)

Over the last 5 years, I've tried everything I found on the internet, including PRI, visited multiple phisio therapists, chiro practors, breathing specialist. Nothing helped me to reduce the ATP. In fact, I think it's gotten worse. There were however short moments when I would be able to reach the neutral state but they would not last. I have an intuition it was somehow connected with my mental state.
@aslipperysnakeАй бұрын
Interesting that you have that intuition! Have you tried exploring that? That would be similar to somatic work right?

I just did the for the first time today. I’ll update on how it works for me. I am the more rare internal. I have had lower back issues my entire life. I am especially sore lower mid back, earlier this year had major issues with my sciatic nerve going into my left leg.

Sciatica, me too. Even 3 broken ribs wasn't as bad. A friend's mother who had it said the pain was worse than childbirth. I later read several other woman say the same online. I cried nearly 24 hours day..The only time I wasn't crying was maybe an hour nap I managed from exhaustion 8 months later my left leg is still numb and I get those weird shock explosions in various parts of my leg. My home is a disaster because I can't clean. I haven't been able to write, which is my work. I'm now horribly depressed. I feel as if I'm never going to be well again .

Thanks for the video. I tried to do the first exercise, with feet against the wall with a block underneath the heels. When I press on it to lift the tailbone off the floor while keeping the lower back flat as explained in the video, I am not able to do that. With my tailbone, my lower back also comes off the floor. How do I solve that problem? Thanks!
@gefiltafish2187Ай бұрын
Wont it just return ,as you need to deal with what caused it in the first place? Ie the entire anatomical chain related to it? Also, is the treatment always symmetrical ?
@erkind9687Ай бұрын
Conor, do you think there is a risk to hurt the lower back from excessive posterior pelvic during exercises like this? Any thoughts on doing this without the tilt and maintaining a more neutral curve of the spine?

So to clarify. I did the test and I have much better external rotation than internal rotation. So I would need to do the first exercise for this? Where as if it were the opposite I’d do the 2nd exercise?

I have developed prominent greater trochanter bones, appearing quite wide at this area. They dont hurt exactly, unless i lay on my side and put pressure on them. They were not always this way. What could cause those to become prominent?

Do you think ATP can be a cause of l5 s1 slippage (spondylolisthesis)? If so, can exercises like this one help with Spondy? How about reverting it?
@fissavids8767Ай бұрын
Same with every other fitness video. Fixing this is easy! You only need to reach your nose with your right big toe while you hold your hand on your heels and also listen to your favorite song and oh yes you have to do this standing in one leg while you do this. Do this 3 times a day and your problem will be gone!
@mailsandymuraliАй бұрын
I believe it caused my L5 S1 protrusion. And all these exercises with a few other PRI techniques helped me to reverse it. It takes time. But I had to come out of the pain and limitations it caused me. So I stayed committed. There was a time I couldn't sit down without pain. Now I can go into a deep squat with slightly elevated heels and it is very comfortable.

Exhale forcefully via your mouth - you will feel a contraction in your 'transverse abdominis' - PRI breathing is meant to be done slowly and relaxed though.
