after 8 years of progressively worsening back problems (herniation l5s1 leading to two microdiscectomies, and a reherniation that made me fear the need to have a fusion) i met a sports scientist who suggested similar exercizes. All those years I was getting progressively worse until I did these exercizes. This is proof that Conor is the real deal.

I got the fusion on the same area. Night and day difference. I am back to normal and able to do whatever I want. Hopefully you find relief in the future.

Perfect timing! I've been dealing with a messed up sciatica for about a week now. Its bonkers how much one muscle controls your movement. I could barely get out of bed the first day because I couldn't sit up from laying down.

Hey Conor. First of all: thanks for Sharing all these great videos with us for free. Bought all your pdf stuff, helped a lot. Do you know Clients who don’t have sciatica but femoral nerve pain? I've been suffering from it for 15 years, but I hardly see anyone talking about it. 😢

That side lying with something underneath the ilium is one of the best activities to regain range of motion that's currently out there.
@hamidman69743 ай бұрын
Do you feel any muscle stretch or something like that with that exercise? I did it, or variants of it, but without success - also didn't feel any stretch or anything.
@neinbruderja75193 ай бұрын
@@hamidman6974 tbh at least for me the lateral compression by just using a towel isn't great enough. I get much better results if I place something much more dense under the ilium such as a foam roller. I lay on my side with a foam roller under the pelvis, a few books under the ribcage and something to rest my head on and then I proceed to roll forward and back, some times eben stepping my upper leg to the front and the back. It somehow "hurts" so good. After that I stand up and feel like a newborn lol. As I said maybe take something denser and bigger to lay on.

If my left side is the painful/ sciatica side, should that left side be facing up or down? Which side is on the floor?
@neinbruderja75193 ай бұрын
@@gdunbar6674 the first exercise is generally to promote a/p expansion to reshape the compression pattern on the pelvis globally. So both sides if none hurt. Generally speaking though, in sidelying expansion happens in the side that is up.
@hamidman69743 ай бұрын
@@neinbruderja7519 it hurts so "good" - how's the feeling? A muscle strech or? I tried with many things, such as rollers underneath, getting girls to sit on me, using heavy dumbells on top - but I didn't feel anything - same for the armbar... I am sure my left hip is stuck in ER and it's limited in IR.

Hi… Thanks for your comment as I just happened to stumble upon it and was wondering how you are liking the Egoscue? I’ve suffered from bad sciatica for years due to my piriformis in deep gluteal muscle muscles being so tight and out of whack due to severely overpronated foot, and I’m trying to get to the root of what’s causing the overpronation. Don’t know if it’s coming from the bad hip hike I have on one side, causing the pronation or if it’s the overpronation causing hip hike. Lol… Certainly a chicken or egg debate, but somebody had recommended the Egoscue program and was just wondering if you have found it helpful? And is it worth buying the program or is it that different if I’m doing Connor’s exercises? In other words, would there be any benefit from that program that I’m not getting from Connor’s exercises, etc.? Thanks so much for your help… I would greatly appreciate it!

Conor please help! I’ve just finished reading your article about the PEC pattern and based on the test you recommended I am a patho-PEC. I reached the part where you talk about how to fix the patho-PEC pattern. You said that you would start from the ground but the video below shows the “PRI wall supported reach” Is it a mistake? What should I do to fix it. I’m a former soldier and since 2018 im having knee and shoulder pain Tight low back and tight TFL Groin and IT band pain. And a neck that gets pulled every week. What can I do? Thank you very much❤️

Hi Conor, what would you suggest for someone who has a ~70+ degree SLR, well over 20 degrees of Hip IR (and lots of anterior pelvic orientation and low back extension) who is experiencing sciatia symptoms? Presumably in this case, the posterior lower pelvis wouldn't be the issue (correct?) so what would you recommend instead? Thank you so much!
