When I saw you were wearing a t-shirt to a gala I was like well he's gonna be in for an awakening when he gets there lol. Was the food good? Also great line at the end! "Doesn't matter what you order. Just matters what you get."
@masonx547 ай бұрын
That would have been great to know ahead of time, thanks. Lol That's okay, I don't have anything fancy to wear anyway. The food was okay, but definitely not as good as I expected it to be. Yeah, my dad said that line.

You ate all that beautiful food and then got nuggets lol ahaha ♿️💪💪

Hahaha I know! I rarely eat fast food, but the options are limited when it's almost midnight. Thank you for watching and commenting!

You fit right in with the rest of the crowd; dressing-up these days means wearing socks! Vagas scares me - "But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; ..." Isaiah 40:31 Have you looked into F.E.S. stationary Bike-riding, Mason? They had one at RHI back when. Awesome, Thanks for sharing!
@masonx547 ай бұрын
Haha So true! I have briefly looked into FES bikes, but they're expensive. I've never used one. Thank you for watching and commenting!

@@masonx54 My wife and I spent three months living in Middletown, OH. Nan Davis, one of the focal participants of the movie (about Nan) 'Walking Again'. Judd Hirsh played Dr. Petrofsky, the inventor of fes leg braces/ stationary bicycles; he found Nan responded most positively to functional electrical stimulation as she was a student at U of Dayton. She walked (high thoracic) down to receive her diploma, and later, she walked down the aisle at her wedding. She told me about LSU leg braces, and I used them inside the parallel bars at Methodist Hospital and RHI for two years. Nan used the leg braces and a walker, the program in Middletown was called 'Moving Again'. The town flourished, a one-mile asphalt track to roll on around the city Park, and a lift for wheelchair users at the YMCA, where I swam daily and independently in and out of the pool, no life jacket by this time (2.5 miles a week). The FES units started at $7,000 and when we got there, they'd gone up to 20k when the program ended for me. Though, I never felt better since high school sports and the muscle mass literally made folks bedsore proof. Fund Raisers - that's the way. Ps Nan had the heart of a lion; she was pregnant and a month away from giving birth when we left. I encourage you to look up that movie 'Waking Again' w Judd Hirsh and Amy Grant as Nan - true story. Thanks for all you are sharing!

C3...wow, he's lucky he's not on a vent. I broke C4, but have a lot of issues with C3 and I consider myself blessed I'm not on a vent. I bet if the injury was a complete one, we both would be. I'm not sure if you follow Ronnie B from Kentucky, but he's also C3 incomplete and not on a vent...in fact, he probably has more movement than both of us combined.
@masonx547 ай бұрын
Yeah, Sam doesn't have the ability to move his arms that I know of. Who is Ronnie B? I've not heard of him.

@@masonx54 Ronnie Brinegar....I put 'Ronnie B' because I wasn't sure of his last name. He's on Facebook...I forget how I came across him. He's in the wheelchair group I admin, but I think I saw his channel when I was looking for Quadriplegics on You Tube. If Sam can't move his arm, he s more than likely a complete. That's all the more he's lucky. I have quite a few diaphragm issues...mainly involuntary gulp-like breaths.

LOL At least the guy painting didn't get the dress up memo either. Kind of interesting though that everyone else seemed to have taken this to be a more formal event. Racing to recovery gala sponsored by an Indy car owner would normally be seen as a lot less formal dress. I go to a lot of car shows and events and its always very informal dress. Anyways, fun video to watch and great experience for you to look back on. And sorry you didn't get the 2.00 watch. 🤣

It's a Gala. Galas are black tie events.

That would've been good to know. Lol

Hi brother, I was wondering if you take any pharmaceutical drugs and if you think its possible to not take them? And how u deal with the side effects of the drugs. Whenever I took them It would make me restless and then I would develop a tolerance for them and would have to take more and so then then the side effects would keep increasing. It was as bad as the disease itself. Thank you much for your reply 💙
@masonx547 ай бұрын
Currently, I only take one prescription medication. It's Myrbetriq and is to prevent bladder spasms. Yes, it is possible to not take any prescription medications. I recommend taking as few pharmaceuticals as possible. Thank you for watching and commenting!
