Every time I watch or listen to Adam I come away thinking just how lazy I can be . The guy is totally awesome, keeps things simple , clear and extremely achievable by all . Adam please don’t go down the dark path of the patrions like some , keeping it accessible to all helps all .

I've watched a few of Adam's videos now and they are so informative. He's not trying to sell you anything. He's just passing on wisdom that others just don't do for nothing. I've learned such a lot in the last few hours. Yes - rigs and bait etc, but primarily about commitment and patience. Superb and hope I bump into him on the bank somewhere to make him a Bailey's coffee and say thanks.

I have a small 2/3 of an acre lake stocked mainly with Ghost and Mirror carp to just touching double figures now. It is 9 feet at the dam end and 1 foot at the shallow end. In the winter (I am in Scotland so its colder here) the fish tend to hang around in 1-4 feet. In the 4 years they have been in there, I have never seen them in the deeper water in the cold (its gin clear and I use a Deeper Chirp to try and find them). It is currently frozen solid as it was -6 last night, but I can make out the fish just under the ice, again, over 3-4 feet of water in a weedy area. At night I use a powerful torch from the high bank and the fish are often swimming around in a circle as a group. Again, allover 3-4 feet of water. Before it froze, it had 4-5 days of ice around the margins and a clear patch in the middle. Again, the fish were in the shallower water and at night I found a load sat in 18" of water all laid up against each other. It is fascinating. I have ripped up my whole approach to cold water carp, I steer away from deep water and I would happily fish zigs or put a bait in shallow margins that receive the sun during the day.

Hi Adam really enjoying your content Back into fishing after a 40 + break Two questions if I may The two large ponds I fish are both a uniform 2 to 2 1/2 feet deep with no raised or deeper sections with some overhanging bushes : no weed at all I like everyone else intend to fish up against these bushes over winter with single pop ups just off bottom or mid water Any suggestions other than moving round with the wind ? Basically fishing a coloured baron oval swimming pool Any suggestions re bait ? I intend just to use boillies as maggots will be attacked by the silvers

Good experienced advice from Adam, especially about being comfortable on the bankside. I completely agree with trying to find a well stocked and relatively shallow lake to kick off any sort of winter carp fishing campaign. All the best, John

I don't know how is it in UK, but in Austria you have to book a certain swim before you get there. So, you don't have any chance to do the most important part - to find carp... 🤷♂️ Show me the lake where you can fish alone and walk around hunting down carps. In your dreams...

I feel it's a shame that he has good knowledge and can explain things so there understood practically , but uses words out of context for dramatic and knowledgeable effect . Also exaggerating to the piont it becomes untrue .
