So much more helpful than a session video watching someone bang out 10Kg of spod mix, show us a rig and then hauling a few fish. This format is way more thought provoking and way more useful. Thanks to Carpology for bringing us these, and to the indomitable incontinent Mr Penning for getting the grey matter buzzing.

Adam, thank you for this video and all the other ones too. I have found your videos not just inspirational, but educational, informative, and as you say , off the normal way of carp anglers. Your insights into angling pressure on lakes apply to all lakes not just those syndicate lakes you have the privilege of fishing , which you have, but which apply to all lakes. I have certainly looked at different baiting options on my local syndicate and to be honest have far exceeded the expectations of my local anglers. In other words I always do something different from the rest and as a day fisherman have more success than any others on my lake. My average is two fish a day, and recently caught my largest spawned fish of just under 27lb which was so happy. Please continue your videos as not only are you a very knowledgable man, but you come across as a very nice man also.

Great content as always, I’ve watched all the videos and have taken in some great advice and tips. I’ve been fishing a tricky park lake with roughly 60/80 carp in there and have managed to beat my pb twice which is now 40/1lb mirror. All I can say is that if you are struggling then watch these videos and listen to what Adam penning is saying, it will truly change the way you approach a water and how you fish it. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Really enjoy listening to your advice Adam. Sometimes it’s not about watching all the top boys catching all these beautiful carp making it look easy. Good advice and stories goes a long way I think, you remind me of my Dad who is also a rather good angler himself, always thought outside the box on a day when it’s not working out. And never failed to put a few carp in mine and my brothers arms. Keep it up mate 👍’s up from me

Definitely agree on the bottom bait rigs at the moment. The lake I'm on at the moment is fairly tough and I think pop ups and bright colours have been over used. I've had good success recently with a match the hatch bottom bait.

Great video Adam, I have only recently just got back out onto the banks, due impart to what seemed like Billions of anglers on furlough taking up every single swim on every singly lake in the UK, this killed my passion for fishing for the last 18 months ☹, but now most seem to be back in work i can finally start to enjoy it again, also since scamdemic started last year a lot of lakes are now only booked in advance for just day sessions 😒, i used to be able to just turn up early in the mornings before anyone else and fish.

Wish I’d seen this vid yest before I wasted a whole day on the end of the wind in an under tree spot I’d baited up the previous 48hrs with 2 kilos of boilies, then catching sweet fa but a damn coot who dived 6ft to gobble my razor sharp long shank barbed hook (thankfully forcep’d out real easy) while carp were jumping on the BACK of the wind in a slightly sunnier area. Lesson learned, even pre baiting is useless unless the conditions suit the spot (specially when bastard coots probably gobbled the lot anyway) 🙄
