Michael, that’s an awesome location. The views are amazing and refreshing from the daily hustle and bustle of city life. One question from a future over lander, what is your security blanket? Let’s say something happens to brake on your rig beyond repair. How would you get help or even rescued? Do you go only places where you have phone signal or is there a handheld device you take with you?
@ConquestOverland11 ай бұрын
The PNW is simply incredible this time of year, the winter season brings a whole new feeling for getting outdoors! As for getting out on these trips, I always bring a Garmin inReach with me not only for communication with family and friends but in case things go sideways. In addition I ensure to have a bug out bag in case things completely go sideways and I need to walk out for help. Ideally it's best to go in groups though for solo trips I usually don't go too far out in the backcountry... 😉 👍 All that to say, the Starlink system could add a new element for keeping in touch with the world while on your trips!

Thank you so much! The rock sliders are from Rocky Road Outfitters, they are great! Very durable and use a simple bolt on for mounting. Does the jeep have crawl control like the yots? Great content..
@ConquestOverland8 ай бұрын
Doesn't have crawl control but does have a 4-lo transfer case, sway bar discount, and it's "auto settings" of choosing snow, mud, rock, etc. depending on conditions. For me and the relatively moderate terrain I do, it's been perfect so far! Thanks for the support and watching!

Been watching your videos for a wile now. Great job. Some places i recognize from my own visits there. but some places like this one i dont know. My question is how come you dont announce the names of the places and lakes you visit, so people that dont know can check it out, like me for example i dont know where this place is but would like to give a visit. Just a simple name of the lakes you visit is easy to find on Google maps. Thanks.
@ConquestOverland11 ай бұрын
Thank you for your continued support, truly means a lot! While I recognize it can be hard or frustrating not knowing where these places are, I do it with purpose. Unfortunately there are those who decide to treat our public lands as their personal garbage can with complete disrespect not only to those around them but the area itself. By sharing these exact spots publicly it can lead to increased traffic at volumes the lands simply cannot handle and especially by those who lack the understand of Leave No Trace/ Tread Lightly. While not everyone is like that, being the videos are for all to view, sharing specific information like that is far too difficult to manage. Lastly, we have to remember why we get out! Embracing the adventure doesn't begin when you jump in the car, it begins right at home when researching where to explore next. I spend countless hours researching areas on Gaia GPS and Google Earth finding new camping or outdoor recreation opportunities. I truly enjoy finding these places firsthand without being given the exact answers because once you come across that spot, you'll have a completely new appreciation for it due to the work you put in. Think of it like a workout program, there's no real shortcuts for getting the true longterm result you want. Hope that helps and thank you again for your support and watching! Cheers

Question?? I never hear you say anything about bears where you go? What kind of wild life do you experience? It is soo beautiful! I live in San Diego. Definitely not like up there!!👍🏽
@ConquestOverland11 ай бұрын
Good question! To be honest I've never had an issue or encountered them, even during our 2 week trip in Alaska. The biggest thing is ensuring to take preventative measures when heading out and educating yourself on general safety and precautions. I certainly could add more commentary on this topic in future videos though! As far as wildlife, I've seen a lot, including grizzly bears though just at a far far distance 😉 👍 Thanks for watching and the continued support!

hey nice rock sliders i just put mine on a few weeks ago! how are you liking them? so quesiton when are you getting bigger tires, i have the same jeep and im running 33 open countries A/T its nice cause it has 10ply vs the stock , i poped mine on the first off road trip so i switched..
@ConquestOverland11 ай бұрын
Heck yeah that’s awesome!! So far I’m loving them! Beautiful design, strong, and helps us shorter people with a nice step option… 😆 As far as tires I’m not sure. These have worked great without any issues (only air down to about 20psi) though I’d agree, not enough sidewall… what’s the actual tire specs that you’re running? Also not sure if a larger size would fit in the spare tire cavity in the back? I personally don’t really want a swing out hitch or anything.
