Dr. Jordan Peterson sits down with Reform UK party leader Nigel Farage. They discuss his ongoing campaign to lead the country, the failings and false promises of the UK Conservative Party, the importance of self-sovereignty for a nation to thrive, why Farage is being called a populist, and why the Western world is swinging back to the Right.
This interview was recorded on July 2nd, 2024

I voted reform today and I'm in my mid-20s. I've paid £65,000 in rent in the past 6 years, yet cannot afford a house. I can't access the NHS or pay for private health care. I am in a labour council area, and pay more than most in the lower band of council tax. My city in in tatters, it's filthy and littered with glass, its parks have all been built on, and our retail park with affordable shops will be bulldozed over and residential towers built. To the left, I'm a TERF because I want women only spaces, to the right I'm not working hard enough - so what hope is there for my future with the current government? I'm so sick of feeling like a second class citizen in my own country. Farage is the only one talking sense and I'm proud to have voted for Reform today.

I am a Black LEGAL immigrant that have now been in UK for over 8 years. I am a senior NHS Doctor and I support Nigel Farage's position and I supported Brexit too. Thank you Jordan Peterson for your courage which has been great encouragement to people like me for over a decade. I have wasted my votes on Tories for the past few elections and they as a bunch have failed miserably, lacking courage and conviction. 1. I can't understand why someone would be demonized for asking that immigration is done legally. We all want safety! 2. I came here legally as a masters student and researcher. I was already a doctor but also went to work for nhs after I got my UK license. I am now a british citizen. All done legally. Saying we should allow people illegally into UK is very naive and a big slap to the face of people like me that have fought and paid our dues. 3. I have followed Mr Farage for almost 10 years since his MEP days in Brussels. He has maintained consistency and elegantly stated his position without bowing under pressure and dishonest mainstream media. 4. I dont care that Mr Farage said he will do nothing for black people. Yes, he will do something for UK - everyone! 5. I dont want to be handed down things. I'd feel insulted to be offered anything due to my race or gender. If anyone is disabled or unwell, they need that sort of extra help. I have been fortunate but have also worked very hard and scrimped and saved. I own property and yes, I dont want any unfair advantage. 6. I have lived in a country (my birth country in Africa) where gov policy discriminated against me for being from an "educationally advanced group". To get into the best colleges and medical school, I had to perform twice as well as those from the "educationally disadvantaged group". It always felt so unfair. Any country that adopts such a stance will soon be a country of intellectual dwarfs. I dont want to be part of such a mediocre society. 7. The destruction of the family unit by introducing all sorts of nonsensical constructs that are not backed by real science like biology terrifies me. It is a sign of a society that is decaying. I fear that my children will be forced to learn nonsense in school by politically influenced teachers who focus on teaching nonsense agenda rather than useful knowledge. This is already too long Go Farage!

@@user-pm3pp1ub8j which proposal? Why do this thing of assuming that they’re so terrible that as soon as we look under the hood we will all be in agreement with you? I have been looking. I can imagine what you may detest but it’s still for you to say. People assuming that just treating them like bile is going to stop us voting for them but it won’t. Only engaging in debate is going to achieve that and as the Dean of a University, surely you of all people must see that? Cancel culture stifles intellectual curiosity and the development of ideas. Much as I cracked up at Farage calling universities “madrasahs of Marxism” 🤦🏼‍♀️ there does seem to be an element of truth in that. Where is the critical thinking? Who cares that you hate Farage. The media push 2 major parties then they public the polls and manipulated people to think that only those two options from the mainstream media count. This video came out at midnight yesterday in the UK and very few workers would have been able to watch this before finishing work today. I voted labour, do I feel they really represent what I want to see happen in this country absolutely not but I don't like the subtle tones of racism I get from Nigel and reform. Tories haven't exactly delivered in the last 10 years. At the end of the day none of them deliver on what they say they are going to so it's all a bit of a gamble and I go with my gut instinct on people. The kind of national pride the party shows is an easy way for facism to start to take hold. Watch a documentary about Hitler's rise and the nazi party and it all started in a similar fashion. Germany was going through a financial crisis people fed up of the same political parties failing to deliver, a sense of wanting more for Germans who felt downtrodden etc.

@@clairee4939 I'm not anti having guidelines and limits for immigration but it's it's often just racism. Spoken to so many people and it just slips out. Especially when it comes to money loss and the plethora of issues that cost us more that are regularly ignored. But certain people are always so ready to fight to keep other people out and I know even if immigration was limited it would still be the same. Just blaming and othering people. It's a scapegoat for certain politicians to make the working poor fight the immigrant poor while filling their pockets. It's not an accident a lot of immigrants are from india/Pakistan or countries the UK has helped 'fight against' in certain wars.

Can you imagine the wolds greatest thinker Mr Peterson up against Kier Starmer? This was fantastic to watch and shows Nigel is more intelligent than many people give him credit for, hence why he stands way above the rest of the establishment.

Labour are set for the largest landslide in UK political history, reducing the tories to make 150 seats, most reform trolls are Russian and Reese mogg is 10 points behind labour in his own constituency

@@RightWing1Nigel's take on Ukraine is awful, he thinks the EU provoked Putin in invading Ukraine. Nigel even said at one point that he admires Putin. I personally don't think that Nigel is exceptionally intelligent, I think the assertiveness and charisma in which he expresses his populist rhetoric is what makes him to be perceived as distinctly smart, by mostly right leaning individuals. My suspicion is that he's appreciated by a good portion of people because they see in him the only hope to clamp down and possibly reverse immigration. I don't think he's actually appreciated in large part by any of his other particular stances. If he decides to announce tomorrow that he will not restrict current immigration policies then a good portion, if not the majority of his fans/followers will no longer support his politics.

Mister Farage this from a bloke born in 1987 South Africa. I think you're very cool. It takes courage to stand for what you believe in especially in this toxic political climate. Thank you Dr Peterson for having sir Nigel on. Vote Reform save the west "God willing" in Jesus name. Amen 🙏🏻✝️🤍
