I made my own table with a speed control for leather. The Consew parts have no instructions. This video is essential. Now I know what the stop is. Couldn't figure out the knee lifter either. The thread stand was a puzzle, too. Thanks much!

Subscribed. Getting to the channel here in fall of 2017- just unpacking and hooking up a new 206 RB5 myself. My table came assembled, my servo motor already on, and the rig was on a pallet. Still, having to perform some tweaks and I don't know much about all this either. Thanks indeed for posting what you did, hope there is more to keep me out of the weeds!

Sorry for the comment not trying to be rude the two long brackets that were put on the bottom of the pedal I think are meant to be on the legs to secure the two pieces together also missing a screw on the leg is not really secure you can see it’s already tilting forward with the weight of the machine.

John..I was watching the table build video...because I myself had to build a table last evening. I thought I was short on bolts at first too, but you only use one bolt on the foot pedal attachment and the long bar and 2 bolt device is actually what is used on where the table adjusts for height. if you put the strap inside the channel and use the bolts from the outside you only need a washer and nut because the strap is threaded. The dips in the strap fit nicely into groves in the metal of the side uprights. Now I am anxious to watch the rest as I was a little worried about table top placement so that the motor and belt come through correctly...thanks for the great video and congrats on your new facility it has to be exciting. I wish I could come to your classes...we'll see maybe I will. My Dad and I just got a 1998 Sea Ray 240 Sundancer and the previous canvas..(1998) had been stowed and it has shrunk over the years. It was a mess trying to get it on the boat and it's very worn. I have the fabric coming and I am going to tackle this project. I am thinking I can replace the isinglass and I want to put screens and smiles in while I am at it. It's a full camper canvas. I am also changing the fastening. It used to have rubber v channel for the slit in the top of the windshield frame and it's very had to put on and remove. I prefer snaps and found the style that insert into the track on the windshield and I will change the bottom edge to include snaps. It's a challenge, but I am determined. I have a new walking foot machine to do this work on , but I do not have the nice tables you have. I am going to convert a dining table and make a mock set up to get through this project. Wish me luck and I am sure I will be referring to your videos ! Thanks for sharing your knowledge via these videos it helps those of us who aspire to do this kind of work to be brave and GO FOR IT !

Does the 206rb-5 not need a drip pan? Mine came with one. I think you have to line up the opening on the drop pan with the knee lift. The one in the background doesn't have one either.

Hey John, the unidentified curved piece you showed after the spare brushes is the spare brake pad. Nice Video. Lee in Florida

Great video. Very helpful. One thought, I think the rubber bushings should go between the table and motor, with the washer, lockwasher and nut under the motor. Seems to be quieter that way.

49:07 Knee lifts... a PITA for sure! 51:17 It would be nice, but too many variables. Will a small frame oriental woman be using it, or a Sasquatch like me? Two very different locations. Beautiful machine! I use a Consew 206 RB1 I picked up used. Did my own machine adjustments. Not fun, but interesting! Really allowed me to learn HOW such a powerful machine does what it does. 55:35 It's a simple part that makes adjustments easier than the method you use at 55:55, IMO. Now that nut is under the foot paddle and a PITA to adjust.

I owned one of these many many years ago. If your a full time busy shop get the Juki 1510N-7. You'll never go back to these types. Yea they cost more but they do a better,easier,faster job period. That's just a fact. 14 yrs now on mine. Sewing Pro 50 + yrs.

Hey John, any chance you can send me a pic of the inside of the box on the left end of the machine? Mine has the oil cord loose, not sure how to re thread it.
@1000ferns8 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the video. I might need it here shortly. I can't decide between the consew 206rb5 or the juki dnu1541s. I want something that can do vinyl easily but also wanted the option to do a few medium-light weight things. I think the juki might be a little too rough on any relatively light material, where I see reviews that the consew can do some lighter weight stuff with the proper adjustments. Obviously, I have to decide for myself, just wondering if you had an opinion as you probably have much more working knowledge of the machines.

The reason you are short on bolts is because the two brackets and the 4 screws should be attaching the upper part of the stand rather than the trundle (foot pad)

yea, We figured that out.. Thanks
