This model is very nice because you can display it with the bomb bay open which is something not available in others version of the b-24 in 1/72 and diecast. This model was initially sold at around 100$ and went up to 145$ today (September 2022). I think this is a good alternative to the extremely expensive corgi's b-24s. HM used to sell a very nice b-24 in diecast with the bomb bay open option or close, as the one in this video, in a 1/144 scale at a very nice price, 50$ but today they are selling it in 100$. My guess is that corgi and hm are over priced today, but I am not expert so I may be wrong.

Hey Juan, Yes prices have certainly gone up over the past year, maybe Covid has caused that. Things in Australia always seem to be dearer than in other places around the world. You right on the money in regards to Corgi and Hobby Master. I mean their quality is fantastic, but the prices can be extremely high in some cases. Its why i even try at times to buy some second hand to save money. At times even the expensive shipping to me from other countries i can still manage to get cheaper than trying to buy a new one locally. I'm no expert myself, just a man with a hobby, hahah. Thanks again as always for checking out the video and commenting. Cheers

@@heavymetaldiecast l didn't know you are in Australia. For some reason, sometimes, diecast models are cheaper in Australia and it is possible to buy and pay the shipping to the US and together is cheaper than buying the same model in the US. My guess is that they are cheaper because Australia is closer, in distance, to China. In any case your channel is revealing, implicitly, a great 'true' namely: 'in some range of scales and models the diecast planes of some brands are three or more times cheaper than similar corgi's or hm's models'. My guess is that an increase in model's prices may be justified by the covid or inflation but the prices of corgi's and hm's went up more than 100%....!!!!!, so they may have a good reason,(unknown to me), for doing that or they maybe be soon or latter out of business. In any event your videos are very informative.

@@jmguevarajordan I'm glad you have found my videos helpful. That's made my day 😀. I'm doing them purely as a hobbiest point of view, I'm not a professional or anything. Just a mans experience, haha. Yes I feel with Hobby Master and Corgi your paying alot extra for the name, but the build quality is usually extremely good. But sometimes i do think when I compare the same model to a cheaper one is the Corgi or HM one really 2 or 3 times the price better. I think one day I may do a video with comparisons. Maybe the Stuka as I have one from Atlas, WLTK, Corgi and may buy a HM version. But that said the cheapest HM one I've seen for me is around $130 AUD when I bought one from WLTK for $35 AUD. Crazy hey. Anyway thank you so much for your kind words. Have a great day 😀👍

Yes it's pretty huge, I have a B-17 & a Lancaster to do at some stage which I'd assume are similar in size too. Will be fun to see 😀👍
