Because he's the emperor and couldn't see past the end of his nose or lower nose(if you get my drift). Ruyi sadly gave her everything to someone who didn't do the same for her in return. I honestly think the emperor felt/thought he truly loved Ruyi but more then anything he was THE EMPEROR and when you know you have everyone trying to say just the right thing to please you the suspicion and fear poisons the love. Like Ruyi said "I thought our loved could survive the palace because we knew each other since we were young..." The Emperor was NASRASSTIC from the get go and with everyone desiring to please him or face demotions, expulsion, the hall of punishments, the work house or death it's a wonder how Ruyi and the Emperor managed to hang on as long as they did. Please do not get me wrong the Emperor constantly put Ruyi thru hell as if he were testing her loyalty/love for him and after her becoming Emperor, other attacks loosing everything for the "white jade princess", and then hating Ruyi for essentially aiding the princess in becoming infertile. The Emperor was at fault for a great many things. However I'm just a common person and have no idea if I would've/could've done differently. When you become a sovereign your own identity goes out the window for the sake of your ppl, if you are a benevolent ruler.

Quinglong's biggest issue in the ENTIRE SERIES is the fact that he has all these smart people around him and doesn't do a damn thing they say or take to heart any of their wisdom. Example: There's this scene where the Emperor is complaining about being tired, and groggy and he can't focus on his very important work as Emperor while being tended to by Shu, who then asks Yuhu to go summon Qi Ru (the Doctor). Qi Ru appraises His Majesty and tells the Emperor that he's is mostly healthy, he's just exausted from staying up late and overworking and has probably had too many drinks yesterday and is dealing with a hangover on top of it and promptly proscribes what you would say in modern day times: Go to bed on time, make time to relax, at least walk around the office every few hours when you work to keep yourself from being stiff and lay off the drinks for a day or two. Simple right? Nope: He goes and gets what's called Deer Blood Wine which is an ancient chinese equivalent of a Monster or red bull. Energy drinks which only make him worse and he complains to Ruyi who goes "you know, YOUR DOCTOR SAID..." and he's like... Nah. I'm gonna get me more Energy drinks... Then proceeds to almost get really sick before he's pinned to his bed by Ruyi and Qi Ru to get better.

依我看，璟瑟仇视的并不是如懿，而是任何一位成为继后的女人，因为在她眼里心里，大清永远只有一位中宫皇后：她母亲富察琅嬅。所以，即使当年不是如懿而是其他女人成为继后，璟瑟迟早也会针对并打压那个女人，以此来捍卫琅嬅的回忆与“完美无瑕”的印象。我相信颖妃肯定是意识到这点，所以才能如此一针见血，还借着璟瑟的手让那头糊涂老龙打压魏嬿婉，更是确保了璟瑟与魏嬿婉再无联手的可能。

Actually, it isn’t. It’s during the 1700’s, and only 25 percent or so, is whatever the writer could come up with from the basic facts and what most of the locations, clothes and what most of the rules could be. In short, it’s maybe under the 25% of what info there is. But if your referring to the amount of episodes for this show, then it’s pretty much close to what China like to create on the amount of episodes. Since most shows are neither 20-30 ish episodes, to 50 and 80 episode, depending on the story length they want to give, without doing two seasons.

其實這段我蠻不認同穎妃的所作所為😅 皇貴妃隨意帶走孩子不妥也確實作惡多端，但也是生母，應該要尊重從景妧的口中其實聽得出來穎妃平時給她的觀念(一直灌輸皇貴妃就是個壞人)太后也有稍微點出穎妃跟景妧的無禮如懿跟海蘭就不會這樣教導教育孩子，不會灌輸孩子，之前四阿哥跟嘉妃落難，海蘭有跟五阿哥說還是要敬重他們，如懿以前也有跟海蘭提過穎妃仗著家世年輕氣盛要再好好跟她說說，比較喜歡如懿的教育方式👍🏻其實只要教導的觀念正確，無須洗腦，孩子也不會歪到哪裡去，五阿哥跟十二阿哥就是例子說到底穎妃其實就是仗著家世，後宮也不過如此，現實也是，關係才是最大的，炩妃今日就算做的公正礙於她的出身，蒙古嬪妃們也不會給她好臉色，重點還是要像海蘭一樣選對邊站😂

要是像如懿那麼聖母，在後宮不爭不鬥，穎妃就會跟她一樣廢位禁足了。海蘭的結局也沒好到哪裡，永琪死後才知道要主動出擊永琪人善，卻被自己的妾害死，永基則因為如懿被廢，心有陰影，你說他們沒歪，沒歪有用嗎？正直的人終究坐不了皇位穎妃沒有子女，為自己爭得一女並不是什麼罪惡但凡令妃曾經善待這些蒙古嬪妃，穎妃也不會洗腦孩子討厭生母看甄嬛傳就知道了，敬妃那麼溫順忍讓的一個人，竟也有離間朧月和熹貴妃的時候，就能明白一個女人在後宮有多想要自己的孩子，但因為甄嬛出宮前與資深妃嬪交好，很敬重端妃敬妃這些人，所以敬妃最後沒有讓孩子跟甄嬛反目只能說種瓜得瓜，令妃會被孩子討厭，都是因果報應

At around 2:00 I really wished the evil woman would try to slap Consort Ying by herself as no one else obeyed her. Only for Ying to block her slap. Then have Consort Ying slap the evil woman back making her fall down and faint! 😂 That is a better humiliation for the evil woman. ❤ Sadly in these Dramas the evil woman never gets beaten up by the good heroine.

It's really true as my Great Grandmother and Grandmother were my only Mothers. My own Mother had her own demons(PTSD)and to this day dislikes being touched or having her makeup/hair messed with. Any pictures I with my biological Mother are pretty much staged because she disliked physical touch that much.
