@@warshrike666 Sorry to hear that! To troubleshoot I recommend using the Amerilabs town test to dial in your resin, here's a great video on how to read the results: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aXuveIqIhtanodk Also use the following method to level your bed: Loosen off the 4 bolts, home it with the vat installed (doesn't matter if there's resin in there), press down ontop of the build plate as evenly as you can while you tighten the bolts back up, DONT press z = 0, and you should be golden.

@@OnceinaSixSide Wow ok mate i will try that. I got 2 new resin trays on order will keep 1 as a tuner so to speak. Got a crease in the 1 i installed. I have another piece of Fep there as i got 2 but i will wait for my new tray's to arrive so i can use the 1 from the factory to set the tention on the fep i installed. I think part of my problem is my Fep being to lose or tight. Thank you so much for the help.

Man this video is incredible. I think you just made up my mind with regards to getting a printer. Do you have have any suggestions on type of printer to buy to print your designs? Definitely looking to print terrain and greebles moreso than minis
@OnceinaSixSide2 жыл бұрын
Why thank you very much, I'm glad you think so! Its difficult to give a printer recommendation but I'll try and steer you in the right direction. A filament printer can be absolutely brilliant for terrain, and sometimes even smaller details - however a resin printer can equally be as capable and even surpass filament printers for terrain as well. Filament is cheaper than resin, but resin is capable of much higher detail. Resin printers are also an order of magnitude simpler to operate and troubleshoot than a filament printer, as filament printers have many moving parts. A large resin printer capable of printing big models like terrain will be comparable in cost to a filament printer that you can feel confident won't give you endless headaches to use. Having said that, if you don't mind tinkering and troubleshooting and experimenting. and want to save a few bucks, then an entry level filament printer such as an Ender 3 V2 can be a brilliant jumping off point. Otherwise look for something with auto bed levelling to make your life a hell of a lot easier. The new Ender 3 S1 looks particularly promising. If resin sounds more like your cup of tea, an Anycubic Mono X is a great choice, and I've heard a lot of good things about the Elegoo Saturn as well. Hope thats helpful! If I can answer any more questions please ask away

If 3D Printing is going to be a big part of your hobby - especially with such time-consuming large pieces - then I'd recommend investing into a more recent 3D Printer being a LOT faster while also supporting features like Resonance Compensation and Pressure Advance that will greatly improve the aesthetics of your parts - Especially when printed at high speeds. Personally, I'm a big advocate for the open-source / stock parts / upgradeable Voron 3D Printers ( My V2.4 printing some spares for itself: kzbin.info/www/bejne/d5WnfIJoeqaYp9E at 300mm/s ) but you'd have to assemble and configure them yourself requiring some serious dedication if you're unfamiliar with the tech which may not be your cup of tea ( you'll also have to 3D Print your own parts in a heat resistant Material like ABS / ASA using your current printer requiring a temporary Chamber ). If it isn't then there's always the possibility of going with a RTR Bambu Lab P1P at the cost of being a closed system completely reliant on proprietary parts and thus their willingness to support it. ( for whatever is holy to you, do NOT buy anything that isn't a CoreXY Printer like the recently announced Prusa i3 MK4 ).

just a tip, layer lines suck. but they can be mitigated if you prime with something called " Filler primer" That is mainly used on cars, before you prime with Vallejo. IMO you should take all of this terrain off the board and hit it with some filler primer, repaint it, reattach it, and ten you will get games workshop level results. but an honest tip, FDM printers suck, and were at a day and an age in witch resin printers outperform them in every way, even in this instance when making huge terrain. I recommend picking up an photon mono X, and tryin these prints again, and seeing how they come out, because the results from the ender, were underwhelming as a whole.
