Yeah i had many grumpy Ole bastards, some of them taught me some good stuff, but once in a while a wizard comes along and teaches you a lot. Then trial and error, practice over the years.

I love your videos, you are super smart, you know what you are doing…..,but….lol i know you said you hate auto-feed guns, they have their cons, but by the time it takes you to even secure a sheet to the wall, we would have allready had that sheet tacked/screwed off and board going up on the next row…..hand feed is super slow…. Not dissing man! Not sure where you are, but why dont you come hang out with us St. Louis union guys for a few days? Union or not, we have been deemed the fastest board hangers…. Love the content my friend, keep it man

That's awesome bro. I would absolutely love to come hang with the fastest boarders in the south! I think the main reason I don't like autofeeders, ive used them plenty, is I work alone most of the time, you know how when working in corners you have to tweak your depth gauge, you can't do that with the auto feeder and working with multiple lengths and or types of screws I think it's faster and easier for someone in my position. I do say auto feeders have a place, well I try too anyway lol. Right on man!!! When I can get down to the states again I'll have to put St Louis on the list.

Idk if you know this one yet but if you get two pieces of heavy gauge stud about 6” long each and screw them back to back then take off the the top edge on one side and bottom edge on the other side you can hook it up to the lift and rest your drywall on the other side. Also you guys don’t have to stagger your sheets height wise? As in 12 ft then 11 or 11’6” and so on?

Yes, ive done the hook thing with studs before, I mostly just set it on my foot. We stagger the height by adding 6" at the bottom first layer and min 16" horizontally.

I'm doing framing for the first time (renovating my apartment) and have watched a lot of your videos - Thanks. My walls are 12 ft. tall and I have bought 20 ga. 1-5/8" and 3-5/8 tracks and studs. My plan is to use 5/8 drywall. Do you recommend that I use U-channel every 4 ft. like you have done in the video (from what it looks like)? Do you recommend any other type of bridging, bracing or strapping for 12 ft. walls? Flat Strap (stock), Coil Strap etc. or I have seen what looks like track being used horizontally between studs sort of like a u-channel. Happy New Year!

Happy happy new year!! Yes I would put carry channel (u-bar) 18 gauge at 4' and 8'. That will help stiffen the wall and keep the studs square. Maybe some braces for any furring walls if you feel it's weak.

I had 1 job a long time ago we had to screw off both layers, think it was a hospital, lab or school. I've been dreaming of starting the largest drywall Olympics for years, it would be epic, just trying to build up more reputation in the production of films before I approach the people to get it started!! How cool would that be?

Pre fill so tape doesn't sink in, no need to have a 1mm gap between sheets. Sometimes we have. 25mm gap for expansion.

Sound (STC) and fire rating. Makes it a superior product. Always used in devising and fire separation walls. Stairwells, hallways electrical mechanical rooms....

When we are out of town I sometimes never see the general. It's frustrating cause they are also not doing QA/QC until I'm back home and they are out of town. I have to be more vigilant but sometimes small mistakes happen and it makes me furious when they come at me like it's the worst thing and I'm like well three other trades have been there and now your finding it... get real right.
