Constructive Possession

It's your weekly video! Up this week: did you know that prosecutors can go into court and argue that two completely incompatible truths...are both true?
And that they routinely argue that multiple people are all "in possession" of one item of contraband?

But to explain it further:
On these constructive possession cases, when there are five people in a car, and one of them has a gun, THEY ALL GET CHARGED WITH HAVING THE GUN.
Didn't know about it? Too bad.
Have never held a gun? So sad.
Even if one of the people pleads guilty and says "yes, this gun is mine," prosecutors don't have to drop the charges against the other people.
In fact, they can collect guilty pleas from everyone on a case like that if they want to.
So watch out.
