I had same happen with a nice buck this year. Luckily after a couple days I decided to get back after it. Almost shot a couple other different bucks and just couldnt as I relived that other buck. He ended up showing back up and gave me some hope. I held out and held out. I watched the cameras and followed a weather event come through and made it happen 3 weeks after the bad shot. It was such a relief. After looking at my log, I haven’t killed a doe since 2010. Mainly because I simply don’t enjoy it. But I need to get back to harvesting them. I had an uptick this year that needs to be addressed.

Which stihl chainsaw do you use and recommend for land management?

I use the MS170 for hinge cutting and such. Then I use the MS271 for larger trees.
