It’s really embarrassing for Cadillac that it costs $11k as an option pkg to get modern safety equipment that comes standard on so many other cars (like the sub-$20k Toyota Corolla, as mentioned in the video). And this comes from a big Caddy fan.

I can’t believe Cadillac continues to squander its lead in autonomous driving by not putting Super Cruise in its products.
@Zee2165 жыл бұрын
I think about this every day. Not just Cadillac, super cruise should be in every car gm builds
@Buc_Stops_Here5 жыл бұрын
It is coming. They plan to add it to the full lineup in the next couple of years. Then expand it to other product lines... most likely Buick, then GMC and Chevrolet. First up, the CT4, CT5, and Escalade in 2021 with new upgrades the CT6 does not support: www.caranddriver.com/news/a30681241/cadillac-escalade-ct4-ct5-2021-super-cruise/

8:49 When asked "how does the 11,500 pound-feet of torque compare to that of a diesel F250", I thought you guys were going to take the opportunity to mention that EV torque is measured at the wheels while ICE torque is traditionally measured at the crank. To take ICE torque numbers to compare with EV's you would have to know the gearing (transmission and final drive ratio) to multiply the crank torque for equivalency.
@robertshunter5 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure if they're even aware of this, to be honest.
@carljaekle5 жыл бұрын
Agree, but, on an EV with a one speed transmission, a wheel torque measurement is more viable, than on an ICE car, where wheel torque changes with every gear shift.

Actually, smog inspections are required in parts of Oregon. Specifically, the 3 counties in the greater Portland area and the Medford area in the southern part of the state. These are the areas most prone to smog accumulation.

You should be aware by now that the CT4 is coming to replace the ATS, so the CT5 is not "tweener" as you call it, it's the replacement for the CTS.
@sopwithsnoopy87795 жыл бұрын
But the CT5 does fall between the two, size-wise. Bigger than an ATS, smaller than a CTS.

I was seriously considering a used i3 REx last year, but it was tough finding the top trim with all the goodies in it. 2 things to consider: The tires are unique to this car, so your choice will be Bridgestone only. The bigger wheel option came with summer tires so be sure you know what's on the car if you're buying used. 2) the first gen REx had a limited gasoline range. The small tank holds 2.4 gal, but will only use 1.9 gal to comply with CA category regulations. If you are geeky or otherwise tech savvy, Bimmercode will allow you to unlock that extra ~25mi gas range, as well as enable a "hold charge" feature like on the Chevy Volt. These are features already created by BMW, just disabled for the US market. I didn't end up getting an i3 but I would have enjoyed it with those slight tweaks.

The VW diesel question - it reduces torque and acceleration slightly, but does not really have an impact on mileage. That is the answer they should have given on the technical change. Otherwise they are right about the environmental impact.

The smart park is all a good idea. But hardly useful. The door ding comment is spot on. But more people will probably more inclined to key your car then door ding it.

At least the middle host gets smart park. It's not necessary for all cars to have it. It's to help when others park to close to you to get in etc.

CR please do your research on the 3.0L TDIs. You can’t equate with the 2.0L TDIs. Yes, there was a notable difference in drivability. I had a 2014 Touareg TDI, after the fix the shift points got sluggish, specially to 3rd and 4th gear, and the particulate filter failed after 10k... sold the car afterwards. I love VW group cars but they’ve lost me forever...They should’ve not cheated.

The Talking Cars survey was not as advertised since one half of the questions were very personal. Like salary, age, do you take action when you. See something unjust happening donate to corrective actions.causes. It is well designed, deceptive survey creeping upon offensive questions. The director of automotive testing & test facility loss a great deal of credibility with her giving credit for us helping CU make TC better.

They should not recommended redesigned models in some cases. All have problems, some more than others. Even Honda with its new turbo and its oil/gas leaking mixture is a problem. Toyota with its new CVT a few years ago was not great out the gate either. You take your chances with every brand - particularly with new powertrain technologies.

@18.51....people should not buy new or redesign car.. I see in the Honda Pilot owners FB group people the newer 3rd gen still suffer from injector failures to transmission issues to infotainment system issues since 2016 to newer 2020s. Does this mean manufactures are too busy on redesigns and new models and don't care about the customers?

Ct5 decent value really 60 grand . No driver assistance with steering like German cars engine just makes too much noise sounds like over 300 hp but just sits there.small rear view mirrors on side of car . Some salespeople so it’s okay small windows rely on tech . Which is so wrong rely just on tech and driver assistance , I then ran away from this car not worth the huge price .. Cadillac losing business to Lincoln . Too little too late on redos sedans and suv .

To the dude with the tdi get the fix and grab the cash and just do a complete emissions delete. And turn everything off since theirs no emissions in your state and you will be driving the most reliable, modern German car.

@keithcollins74355 жыл бұрын
E M1 what makes CNN news fake because the party of Jesus supports a President that lies every time he opens up his mouth. You would like journalist who pushes propaganda and can not tell the truth concerning the President. I rather push news that is conspiracy theories instead of truth so it can fit the narrative of a rogue and con President. Sorry facts matter whither we agree or disagree. It is mighty funny that all the stories it end up being true. All news station including Fox had to recant stories that were not factually right. You are more Republican than American that is sad.
