I own a 2014 ATS which seems to be the beginning of a sporty and responsive experience for Caddy. The ATS is the most responsive and agile car I have ever driven (much less owned). I almost didn't test drive because of Cadillac's history of floaty and slow cars. I am glad to see they are continuing to break that stereo type.

GM recommends premium，that means you can fill regular，but with less output power。

I love my 2022. Something that strikes me odd though; I keep hearing that it’s comparable to a 2-Series, A-Class, etc. But every one of the stats show that this should be compared to a 3-Series or C-Class. It’s longer and nearly as wide as a 3-series. The engine is comparable, etc.

I think it's ironic that the CT5 is virtually the same length as a Honda Accord, within 1". When you see a new Honda driving by, then later a CT5, to me the Caddy easily appears larger than the Honda. Did you ever look at a Kia Stinger? Big, looong car they call "compact" .. go figure? The Stinger's true length is 190". The Caddy CT5 is 194". Honda 195.7" Looking at CT5 & then the Kia, I would've sworn the Stinger was unquestionably bigger. At least the CT5 is considered "mid size".

It’s comparable in price, not features. You pay A3 or A class prices but get A4/C-class features. A value play.

Their 2.0L turbo engine in the ATS was pretty good, but for some reason they decided to slip in the Silverado truck 2.7L engine and put a turbo on it, which is why it sounds horrible in the CT4.

Hey, about 0-60 times: Car and Driver got a 4.7 for the 450T and a 4.5 for the 4V. So Cadillac appears to be underselling the quickness of this car. Also, at that price point those numbers beat the Model 3 Standard Range Plus 5.3 to 60 (Tesla claim), and is just a tick below the Model 3’s Long Range Duel Motor claim of 4.4 in 60. The 450T sells just a bit more than the Standard Range Plus, and the 4V sells about a $1000 less than the Long Range Dual Motor. In research I have done, the two American sport sedans are remarkably close in price, amenities, quickness, top speed (although the 4V has a top speed of 164 where the LRDM tops out at 145mph). The Caddy is better looking inside and out, has a more traditional luxury sedan stance, and more customization available. The Model 3 has better fuel efficiency, obviously, but less range.

The instrumentation cluster is actually the same unit as the C8 'vette. The CT5-V Blackwing basically is a 4 door Corvette Z06

Honestly Caddys are reliable. They're not perfect and a little bit more to maintain than an average car. Just keep up with maintenance that the mechanic suggests. I still have my 2014 ATS and don't plan on upgrading anytime soon

No hes not. Hes accurate. European & Asian automakers have always had better and more intuitive handling. Americans just caught up to them with that. Yeah you could name a few American cars with good handling such as a corvette but overall, American cars lack in the handling department. Sorry

I have to unfortunately disagree My Heart is with them After 35 years of Cadillacs My last were a ATS and CTS. Both were NYS LEMONS . I’m talking major breakdowns 23 times for the Ats. Mary Barra’s office reached out to me. Without going to court they said I win and I have a choice of any vehicle . I said after 35 years . I want out ,they get credit for admitting it to me. I was loyal to them. But I’m sorry to say unless things got better , and I hope so for those who purchase them I’m convinced . These are made just before 5pm on a Friday

Here's my Deal Breaker for the CT4: Old fashioned incandescent front turn signals. Why does this matter? Because Cadillac designers had every opportunity to complete the "unit" that's otherwise LED.. in Full LED. The technology is there. What was the stumbling block? Does it make a difference? YES. Having bright, crisp, instant on/off flashing LEDs makes a world of difference when people see this car. Why GM continues to go to this on several "new" models .. Still in 2021, leaves a bad taste in my mouth 👎

For 2021 Cadillac has made LED turn signals optional through the $400 Front Lighting and Assist Package. Completely transforms the look of the CT4. But I agree, a full LED headlight design should be standard

@@vociferon-heraldofthewinte7763 that's questionable. Lately GM is designing light housings that require complete removal of bumper covers/body panels before anything more can be replaced. Example: 2019-21 Blazer. Tail lights LED with Incandescent brake lights/signals in same unit!?!? Removal of wheels, fender liners, mud guards, rear quarter & bumper covers (one each side) & reinstalling is required to replace a bulb. The lighting unit is fastened to the vehicle under the body panels. Dealer charges 2.5 hours labor per SIDE when this needs to be done, otherwise I would've done that.
