I'm a long time contender guy since 1982. Have 2 gen1's with the old hammer slide bolt safety where you have to change it center or rim within the hammer face with a screwdriver, etc. I go from 17 Mach 2 to 204 Ruger (wow what a great caliber). Within I have a 22 match 9 3/4 with a m8-2 Leupold on it, tac driver! Just picked up the SSK/50 receiver designed for nearly all g1 and g2 barrels, excellent!
