Excellent. Her point about the farmers made me wonder if they would have just medicated slaves in the South instead of freeing them. How is it that we have lost the idea that dehumanization should be stopped, not medicated and capitalized upon?

In this day & age with Somatic therapies & so many other therapies that exist, we have the obligation of giving even the hardest cases of depression as many alternatives as possible. If you have money & resources you can access different kinds of natural therapies red light, infrared, Somatics, coherence therapy etc etc but in the States as soon as somebody does not respond quickly to certain options they are obliged to take the route of pills & legal drugs, it is real sad.
