The Miata loves these tires. They are also used by race teams in the wet, because their wet grip is phenomenal!

The Conti Extreme Contact 02 are about the same as the Michelin PS4S. You won't notice much difference in grip.

I run these on my Miata. Way better than the federal 595s traction in all scenarios except cold rain and a good jump from Yokohama fleva 401

Great video! For someone in a desert climate, with no snow ever, is the dry and wet traction upgrade over the Continental ExtremeContact DWS06+ worth the added cost of $164 for four, and the degradation in tread wear life? What is Conti's reputation on warranty claims?

Dry and wet traction is better on the Continental Extreme Sport 02. Its only when it comes to snow that the DWS06+ shines if you live in an area where you will see snow.

@@LoveLikeaHurricane yes but they also have worse tread wear life and are much pricier. So I went with the DWS06+ for my no-snow desert life, and have been very happy with their traction, even if not quite as good, officially.

@dwtubeyou - I live in the desert too. I’ve been running Pilot Sport A/S 3 for the same reasons you mention - more than sufficient grip for most street situations, decent tread life and a little less expensive than summer tires.

People can get whatever tires they want. Conti arent exactly cheap tho. I like conti more than the last set of crappy michelin tires i had.
