Timing couldn't have been any better, I've been going down the 200TW rabbit hole all week.

U run the re71rs , awesome tire for daily , good in wet and get up to temp pretty fast , big improvement from older ps4s 275s spinning 3 gear on xdrive I only run them in the rear do I kept the ps4s at front for better wet braking plus won't trow a bunch of litle rocks to the side of the car

I agree. ECF tires on street are poopoo, and require some very aggressive driving to get up to temp or adjusting psi which seems rather extra. But on track those ECF will run so so so long and feel a lot more geared for just track use even in the wet it acts differently then on street. I put a stress test on them for tirerack with 12k+ miles to see how they act across all areas, temps and heat cycles. In the other hand, those RS-4 always felt like a much better choice and easier to use on all places compared to the ECF. Though interesting you said your 71RS wasn't a good exp in the wet - I never had an issue on my miata in max size of 245/40 and we're the boss tires on street or track even in the wet. So not sure how that came to be for you but different cars and setups could certainly add another factor, to some extent. I will say those 71RS last a lot longer then expected if just street n touge, but as soon as I had it on track it's life was cut significantly - as expected. Great video man!

Maxis Vr1 when on sale are like $190 in 275/35/18 when on sale around Labor Day. Just as good as rs4 from my experience (2 track days). I daily drive my 200tw tires from late march/April to thanksgiving usually. I almost snatched up the contis on the buy 3 get 1 free sale but snagged a steal on the rt660.

that's a crazy price for that performance. but yeah if the continentals keep having that discount available then i'll probably keep using them for track duty.

Thank you for talking about the warm-up factor. A few weeks ago I was on 320tw ECS2 and raced a guy on R888Rs. I was all over him until the last 30% of the road, when his tires finally got hot and he started becoming a problem. I don't ever want to put up with that wait on the street, especially if I'm giving up the epic wet performance of the 300tw class. I was looking at the ECF because of how much I've liked Conti ECS and DWS, but I think I'll have to look at other options that bring the action from cooler temperatures.

I got 235 and 265’s rs-4’s on my m240i a few months ago. My first experience with 200 tires. Still haven’t got used to the noise. At first I even thought that the shop damaged my wheel bearings or something. BTW, here in Australia Hankooks are significantly cheaper than the other two

Hankook RS4 is my choice on my S2000 and they are cheap tires for 200TW. Daily use year round in dry and wet. Have done a few track days.

Good personal opinions from experience, thanks. I'm a Noob Autocrosser and looking for replacement tires for my 2022 Veloster N and its OEM Pirelli P-4 Zeros. With your info and all that I've researched, going to go with the RE-71RS's since my Veloster N is not my daily driver. Not a lot of rain here in SoCal, just don't want to play "Slip and Slide" when/if I do encounter wet roadways. "Eternal Stare?"...... Nah!!

I went with the extreme contact forces for my 340i, hopefully i dont regret my decision 😅 I got scared away from the re-71s after hearing that the longevity for daily use is not good.

Best tires for daily and dig on street in rwd 340 500whp?

Watching this as I'm considering what tires to put on a 340i I'm about to buy and the shop I work at is partnered with Bridgestone. We get buy two get two, along with 50% of the two we did buy

Hey man, I have a question. How can I build up the oil pressure on my B58 without it injecting? You can't get the last injector plug off because the strut brace is in the way. Do you know which fuse is for the injection? Or do you know another option? Thanks a lot!
@kern41710 ай бұрын
Remove the strut brace and unplug the injector.

@kern417 Do you know a way without removing the strut brace? A simpler one?

Im still not sure how wide tires i can get on my xdrive f31. Im gonna go with 19inch but how wide can tires be to not cause any issues on the driveline?

depends on a lot of things. I made some videos discussing the details a few weeks ago. kzbin.info/www/bejne/g563kJSkor6GsKM kzbin.info/www/bejne/h36QgpJtl6xor68

Hankook is better than Bridgestone from my experience.

Yeah definitely I ran both Ventus RS4 and Potenza RE-71rs last season. the Hankooks I ran for 6 lapping days without issue I mean Race School and open lapping. The Potenza only lasted 3 and do not have the control of the Hankooks
